Beer is good.

Beer is good.

Beer is God.

Ever notice that the only difference is 0. Nothing. Nada.

This Deep Insight Into The Human Condition™ has been brought to you by Silenus, whose students successfully(?) completed the AP European History test yesterday. He is celebrating this fact by communing with barley and hops. Anybody got anything else we can celebrate on this fine day?

Well…today I took my last final and I guess I’ve technically completed my B.A. Just sitting around waiting to get my little piece of paper, now…

That does call for a beer. Excellent suggestion!

(I hope all your students did well, by the way. :))

I am having a 1554 by the New Belgian Brewing Company (i.e. Fat Tire). Its a Belgian Black Ale. Very tasty, with a heavy coffee/chocolate aftertaste.

Its really the only beer that I like from the NBBC, but it is one of my top five american beers.

Yeah!

Myself, I just this hour brought a sixer of Bass Pale Ale back from temple.

If I had poor luck with Bass’s mare perhaps this draught of his may serve me more propensely. He was laying his hand upon a winejar: Malachi saw it and withheld his act, pointing to the stranger and to the scarlet label. Warily, Malachi whispered, preserve a druid silence. His soul is far away. It is as painful perhaps to be awakened from a vision as to be born. Any object, intensely regarded, may be a gate of access to the incorruptible eon of the gods. Do you not think it, Stephen? Theosophos told me so.

So Cheers!

I got beer.
Reason enough?
I think so.

Fat Tire is a very good beer. If I had to choose only one beer to drink for the rest of my life, I’d choose Fat Tire. Good for all occasions.

You should take your High Schoolers out for a Fat Tire adventure.

'Nuff said.

Man, I miss ol’ Ben.
He really knew how to live it up.

Beer, it’s not just for breakfast anymore. My favorites:
Schneider Weisse Original (the king of the wheat beers)
Alaskan Amber
Grolsch
Guiness (NOT the American stuff, actual Guiness)
Shiner Bock (you can take the boy out of Texas…)

Unclviny

coffee /chocolate beer?
All my vices rolled into one?
WHERE, for the love of all that’s good, does one find such a dream?

HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN BY DRINKING BEER

When we drink beer we get drunk.

When we get drunk we go to sleep.

When we go to sleep we commit no sin.

When we commit no sin we go to Heaven.

So…

LET’S ALL DRINK BEER AND GO TO HEAVEN!

Check your local upscale liquer shoppe. You could also try Young’s Double Chocolate Stout. Very good stuff, and its so thick it will put hair on your chest.

I have enough places to shave as is, thankyouverymuch!
Does ABC count as upscale? Cause I think that’s about all we have around Tallahassee.

I’ve only seen one beer here classified as a zwart bier (black beer, as opposed to witbier), but I can’t remember what it was called or who made it. It was good.
The same people that make la Guillotine and Delerium Tremens (Brouwerij Huyghens) make a ‘chocolate witbier’ that tastes, to me, like those little chocolate oranges you find around Xmas.
This is beer heaven. Eat your hearts out. Speaking of. . . I need to go out. . .
Gloating gloating.

I dunno about ABC, but it can’t hurt to check. Here is an article about chocolate beer made by Sam Adams. I had some of this on Valentines day, and it was MOST excellent.

Although I did not get anymore hair on my chest, so that may be better for you!

My local Marsh Supermarket has consented to regularly carry Sierra Nevada Porter ! Life is indeed good. God save Don Marsh.

1554 is a very good beer. And I am lucky enough to get it really fresh and it gets delivered from the brewery to Denver bars very quickly. Same with Fat Tire

The beer I wish I had more access to is Rogue Hazlenut Brown. Now that is a damn fine brew, but the stupid brewry is always back ordered, So I can’t get any. :frowning:

I for one look forward to a boot at the local bier garden as soon as the exams are ended.
