By the way, I will be able to check your suggestions via my blackberry so please post recommendations even if its later than the next half hour. Thanks.

Wow, I’ve never had ANY of those. I’m pretty jealous right now. I’d absolutely go for the Sierra Nevada Brown Ale. Their Pale Ale is one of my all-time faves.

The correct answer, grasshopper, is…all of them!

I just hope you didn’t type that list in from your BlackBerry.

The only one of those I’ve had is Sierra Nevada, which is good and I’d recommend it. But for lots of them we don’t have enough information (Anniversary Ale? Whose Anniversary Ale? Ditto Double Blonde.) I second just diving in and exploring.

Are you on the east coast? I’ve hardly heard of any of those and I go out of my way to try different beers often. I’d say get a DD or a cab and try as many as you can.

I would go for the pale ales, first, JJ. However, my advice is to drink one of everything until you get drunk.

It seems I only gave a partial list. The full list: http://nycbeerweek.com/beers/

Bellhaven.

Are you actually going to have access to all those beers at this particular event? looking at the website, it seems that those beers are all the beers being served across all the events.

Dont miss the Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale!!!

The Lagunitas IPA is excellent as well.

There are a lot of east coast micros in the festival that I am not familiar with, but the two brews I mentioned above are some VERY tasty California craft beers…

Cheers to you, Matthew

You’re right. The choices are only from the first list I posted in the OP, since this is the cask festival. I’ll find out in the next 15 minutes or so.

I’m a big fan of the Loose Cannon and Hang Ten, both crafted at my favorite local brewery, Clipper City Brewing.

There are tons of beers here! My first is the cask version of Green Point ipa 7% alc. Very nice

If it is the same one I’m thinking of, the Torpedo Extra IPA is made by Sierra Nevada. If you like their regular IPA, give the Torpedo Extra IPA a try.

I’d also try the rye beers.

I meant Green Flash West Coast IPA. Delicious.

My friend’s brother is a beer snob and is picking our beers. We’re sticking with the cask beers. My 2nd is “Sixpoint righteous with whiskey-soaked oak chips” 7%. Kind of rough. Already buzzing

If you try the Magic Hat Odd Notion, please post your opinion. Oh, and I’ll second MPB in Salt Lake, the Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale is tasty.

I wish I could use everyone’ s suggestions. However our 3rd is “livery anniversary ale” 9% and I’m already ripped. I’n not used to drinking beer like this. I may be able to drink one more.
