Thanks. I agree. Anyone elase that coversup or says that Islam is a realigion of peace is a fucking idiot. It’s a religion of pieces. They want to blow everyone up in pieces. Fuck’em all.
Well, because they’re people. Duh. I would have thought that by now it was well established that there is no limit to human evil and craziness other than the fundamental laws of physics. There’s nothing new here that hasn’t been done many times before. Fortunately we have missed out on most of the Christian ‘convert or die’ phase - it wouldn’t surprise me if a few hundred years ago Islamic scholars were shaking their heads over the excesses of the Inquisition or the post-reformation wars of religion.
If you really believe this it looks like the extremists are getting their way.
I think that the main failure of organized religion is its ability to separate itself from violently extreme idiots -
A follower of Islam who targets and kills innocents is not a follower of Islam.
A follower of Christianity who targets and kills innocents is not a Christian.
Crap - I hit “submit” instead of “preview”
repeat -
A follower of Islam who targets and kills innocents is not a follower of Islam.
A follower of Christianity who targets and kills innocents is not a Christian.
If the above statements became a universal understanding then -
Muslim extremeists couldn’t kill Christian schoolgirls because that act would make them no longer Muslim.
I imagine that most Muslims already feel this way, whoever the media accounts still say “Muslim extremists”
And no Scotsman who doesn’t wear a kilt is a true Scots.
Muslims and Chrstians seem to have no trouble doing dreadful things. Or athiests for that matter. Although the latter don’t have to bother searching for doctrinal support. Not a hard search for either ‘religion of peace’.
That’s the liberal viewpoint that the media wants you to believe. The fact that their muslims borthers rejoice when it happens should speak volumes. WHen the muslim courts don’t convict them of the crimes or give them light sentense should tell you something as well.
Wake up.

I agree with this to a point. Speaking as an outside observer, and non-Christian, I have no problem looking at Christianity and saying that it is, at it’s heart, a religion of peace. That’s not to say that the extremists like Falwell don’t give it a bad name. But there are a few violent followers, in an overall pretty good bunch.
However, during the crusades, there is no doubt that Christianity ceased being a religion of peace and became a religion of violence.
I don’t take the term “religion of peace” to mean that the religion was founded on such a platform, but to mean that it’s members are currently adhering to that platform. At some point, enough followers of a religion take it to a violent level that the religion ceases being a religion of peace for now. Waving away those “few” violent followers and saying that they are not really Muslims seems like a semantic argument rather than a useful one; they still think they are Muslim, and that what they are doing is for the betterment of their religion. Just like the Christians during the crusades.
Your opinion may vary, but Islam has hit a tipping point in my mind. Even if Islam is not founded on a basis of violence, if it is being used that way by enough people then it has ceased to be a religion of peace. Enough Muslims (in my opinion) are using their religion to justify violence that even if the Koran does not support their belief, Islam has become a religion of violence. Hopefully, like Christianity, it finds it’s way back.
Please don’t tell me you draw a very fine line between being hassled by annoying people, and getting your head chopped off by them.
I’m awake, thank you. You see it happens like this- There are these religions (kinda like clubs) that people belong to. Different religions will always have friction points with each other. Nutjobs realize this and attempt to get some critical mass support from these “clubs” by committing an extreme act along one of these “friction” points.
For the most part, these acts are condemned or dismissed by the majority of the club members. However, there are a few feeble minded goat felchers in the membership who buy into a “they’re all behind it” attitude and then jump at the chance to denounce the entire membership of another club.
Now I’m not calling you a “feeble minded goat felcher” just yet becau…wait, who am I kindding? Of course you’re one of the feeble minded goat felchers. In fact, it looks like the Nutjobs have already manipulated you.
Nevermind.
Based on what you wrote here, I think we’re on the same wavelength. But once you reach that critical mass of support, and I think Islam has, then your club has been usurped to the point that it’s original intention of peace is no longer valid.
I dont subscribe to any goat felching clubs that you belong to. I can see the fuck fucktards beheading people weekly. I can read the news and see this shit unfolding… which you obviously can’t.
Fuck you very much and have a nice day.

I’m not ready to agree with you that Islam has reached that state. I’m not blind to the concept though. In fact, I think that eventually this situation will worsen to the point that genocide and extermination become attempted solutions.
And when it does I won’t be on the side of Islam. Right now extermination of any religion is not a benchmark of my personal religion nor the organized religion of which I belong. But, when half of the world is going to be destroyed you have to make a choice on joining the half that most resembles your habits.
So the sad part is, even though I denounce the clueless “Buckwits” that show up to rah-rah the masses, me or my kin will probably end up joining his cause.
Joining, not out of desire, but desperation.
Appology accepted.

Huh. Personally, I’ve always been able to despise and condemn people who use violence in the name of Islam (or of any other religion); it didn’t take me years of denial to get to that point.
And I’ve been able to despise and condemn people who use violence in the name of Islam without slandering all Muslims or Islam in general, too. Maybe I’m just gifted or something.
Then, I think we’re entirely on the same wavelength.
Fiveyearlurker
With respect and believe me I don’t want to get into a slanging match about this.
The Crusades happened hundreds of years ago, what is being talked about in this thread is happening now
Your display of stupidity grows with each of your posts. Might be best if you just shut up for awhile.
But we all know you won’t do that. I know that you can’t do that.
That’s an ugly thing to say. I was tryng to make peace with you. and you turn on me like that. I thought we finally reached common ground and now you attack me. What’s the deal?
Maybe the Buck will stop here. Bud-dump-bump-tsshh. I’ll be here all morning folks.
So? Roughly two thousand years ago JC was walking around telling everyone to love one another and turn the other cheek, and twelve hundred years later Christians were rampaging round the middle east killing everyone in sight including each other. The passage of time does not automatically lead to an improvement in human behaviour, unfortunately.
There’s nothing to say that the year 2100 won’t be marked by The Great Hindu-Scientologist War or The Massacre of The Confucians by the Neo-Buddhists. Isn’t it fun living through history?
