It’s raining, I think it is supposed to clear up later, but still going to be cloudy all day.
I wanted to do some stuff outside, but I guess that is not happening.
I also wanted to hang out clothes, that isn’t happening.
The yard needs a good whacking, that isn’t happening either.
I can’t irk this morning because the gas company is coming some time today, I have no idea what time or how much noise they will be making.
I’m not happy about that, irk has been slow this week and between not irking this morning and going to the armpit tomorrow, next week’s paycheck is going to suck.
They are already doing some stuff outside.
Ripple is on guard duty.
swampie, with those church folks, was it we have never done it like that before? You had beter watch out, you could end up as the senior member of the vestry.
My nephew is graduating from high school today, so there will be the ceremony then the party at his home. I made the cake. I have made a lot of birthday cakes for him and his older brother over the years, moving from Pikachu and Thomas the Tank Engine to footballs and dinosaurs and Harry Potter. It was usually my present. Now it is over, sniff.
Dammit - turns out one of our helpers told daughter a few days ago that he couldn’t make it. I could have had another lined up, but I just found out this morning. grrrrrrrrr! With luck, SIL, his bro, and my coworker will be enough, with me for the less strenuous stuff.
Dammit. (I can’t help but wonder if the no-show got pissed because we told he he can’t bring his kids…)
Morning all. Soccer games to coach at 8:30, 10:00 and noon and one to referee at 1:45, it’s 71F going to 88F. Suspect I’m going to be tired this afternoon…
:D:D:D:D:Dflytrap said ‘civilized states’ and is from Arkansas…:eek::eek::eek:
FCM, hope work goes well.
Red, Nelson should be a tired pupper today.
Now need to get organized for the soccer. Take care all.
Gas company showed up a little after 8, they are going to be a while.
They need to get a hold of the neighbor, but she isn’t home. They may just turn off her gas and leave a note.
I am thankful we don’t share a gas line, although it wouldn’t matter than much now because it’s only the furnace being affected.
The sun came out, so I can hang out my clothes today.
There’s a ton of stuff that needs doing inside, between the dog park and the yard, I haven’t been keeping up too well inside the house.
You’re lucky you can go on the big dog side Red. Poor Ripple hasn’t has anybody to play with for the last few days.
Blurf. Day 4 of sloth is coming along nicely. I do need to venture out to the grocery store today. Oh joy!
Hubbies sawzalled hand is still majorly infected. He is picking up yet another another go round of antibiotics. I really don’t know what we are going to do to get this healed up. He can’t/won’t stop using it.
We just got back from the dog park. It is very noisy outside today but I think they are done in the basement.
There were a lot of dogs there to play with, so Ripple got a good workout.
I have to wash my shoes, a dog peed on my foot.
I hope my shoes are washable.
My son has to take his accounting final today. He is worried about it, it’s all payroll stuff.
Then he is done, except he is going to take a summer class. If his adviser gets back to him in time for him to sign up.
Now that the sun is shining, he can whack the back yard, and vacuum for me.
I hope your hubby’s hand gets better. Hand infections are not something to mess with.
The gas company came to talk to me. They had to dig up part of my yard and they can’t do anything with it now because of all the mud. I said that’s fine, but after seeing where they dug up the yard, perfect spot to put in some lavender and maybe a butterfly bush.
They also dug down to a concrete slab at the corner of the house where the basement is leaking. I never knew the concrete was there it was under so much dirt. Now that it is cleared out and there is a clear path to a little gutter, maybe the basement won’t leak anymore.
So they did me a favor by digging up the garden for me, and possibly fixing my leaky basement.
My current irritation has to do with Frontier Communications and Dish Network, and TV suppliers in general. I won’t bore you with the long and convoluted blow-by-blow. Just know that I’ve 'bout had it up to ‘here’
Done for the day. We got all the machines and assorted big stuff moved to the shop. All that’s left in the basement is some little stuff that we can move with the wagon. I’m showered and in clean, unsweaty clothes. Time for some chillage.
Happy sari day!!!
I’s tahred, but I’ve stopped coughing, so there’s that.
There are times I wonder why I even bother trying to sell stuff on craigslist or facebook… I could post “Oak coffee table 12" wide, 30" long, 15" tall in northern Heresville for $100” and I’d still get emails and messages from people asking how big it is, where it is, and how much I want for it.
The hand continues to heal. Might actually end up needing physical terrorism as the now disarmed trigger finger is sore, stiff, and doesn’t want to fully extend. At least the carpal tunnel part is doing better.
Chilly, damp, and rainy here. Completely wrong weather for this time of year. I’ve got a tri-tip in the sous vide, a corn soufflé is planned as well, and just need something else. to round it out. Part of the dilemma is not really knowing if the corn soufflé is a vegetable or a starch. It’s a church cookbook classic recipe. If it’s not a starch, it’s a very starchy veg. Oooh… maybe creamed spinach?
Left home at 7:30am. Got back at 3:30pm. In-between were three soccer game coached, one soccer game refereed, a half-can of pringles, 1 water and 2 Pepsi’s consumed, and one body worn out. Don’t think I’ll be moving much for the next couple of hours.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARI! , And I hope they solved the basement problem for you.
Butters, tell him if he doesn’t take care of the hand and the infection, he might have to do without it…permanently. Hope it goes well.
FCM, glad the heavy moving is done.
Bumba, hope things get settled. I moved to Direct TV a couple of years ago and haven’t had any problems…yet.
Think I am going to go run a bath and sit in it for…hours, days…
MetalMouse that is exactly what I told him re hand. He has a Dr appt on Moanday to have it looked at again. I told him he needs IV antibiotics.
Supper was chicken and rice and coleslaw. I also whipped up a batch of tater salad earlier today which was lunch. I guess I am getting rested up finally. I do not intend to be a slug after today.
Worked. Got a haircut. I got new glasses. But there is no hockey tonight. But today is my Firday, and I got 2 day soff in a row. So I got that going for me.
I take solace in the fact that I am still more desirable than Flytrap.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY sari!!!
And may Ripple keep your day free of The Invisible Mole People.
Mrs. L.A. and I went to a wedding. We didn’t stay for the reception. Instead, we wen out for Mexican food. I had two 20-oz. margaritas. I may fall asleep on the couch soon. I’m such a lightweight! (We hadn’t eaten since breakfast.)
This acrually sounds like the beginning of a bad scary movie. Innocent householder, innocent compay exposing something nobody knows was there, something sinister is sure to happen. Something has GOT to leak in.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 68 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 92 and N.O.S. The plan of the day is deheathenization (I have ush duty), then back to da cave for N.O.L. and possibly some quality cee-mint pond time bein’ as the weather is just right for such.
 I have been remiss! It’s a day late but…
Slept like the dead last night - hard manual labor will do that! My feet are still achy this morning (my work shoes are close to shot) but I’m moving a bit faster.
**FCD **and I are going out to breakfast, then we’ll stop at Lowe’s. He’s going to start wiring in his machines and I have a metric buttload of laundry to do. Then I’ll help him if he needs me. Otherwise, there will be a fair amount of chillage. Plus I’ll vacuum. And maybe dust. Maybe…
