I saw a headline once that said “Double Hand Transplant Recipient Applauds Surgery.”
You know that was the highlight of the headline writer’s career.
There was the classic New York Post cover headline: HEADLESS BODY IN TOPLESS BAR.
People put it on buttons and teeshirts.
Amazingly this is genuine:

Interestingly, two things have changed on that page since I first linked to the story.
First, the title “Berlin Correspondent of The Times” has been appended to Boyes’s byline.
Second, at least five reader comments about the name have been removed.
