I know the obvious choices are classic films such “What a wonderful life” and “Wizard of Oz” but my favourite is a probably a less obvious one; “Home Alone” :o
I know it’s hardly a masterpiece but for some reason it holds fond childhood memories of Xmas.
What’s your fav?
Jim
P.S. Sorry if this has been asked before :dubious:
Wizard of Oz?? No, that was always an Easter Movie.
My two are: Scrooged (Bill Murrey)
A Christmas Story (Peter Billingsley)
I still hafta see at least once per season…
Rudolph, (hopefully with the electric razor commercials)
Emmett Otter’s Jug Band Christmas
The Grinch
Miracle on 34th stret is one of my favorites.
(the original)
I really liked a Christmas story… Although I’d never seen it before last year.
Thirding.
You’ll shoot your eye out.
I’d agree with Scrooged.
For sheer nostalgia, my alltime favorite was The Year Without A Santa Clause
He’s Mister Heat Blister…
Another vote for Christmas Story. It just seems to embody all the dysfunctional family fun of the holidays (amped up by hollywood of course).
A Christmas Story.
A Christmas Carol (on stage).
Christmas Vacation.
Hardrock, Cocoa and Joe (Maybe just a Chicago thing?).

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is the best Christmas movie ever. We watch it every year.
OH, come on! The Muppet Christmas Movie. How can you NOT love this?? When Chef tries to cook Big Bird?
