Favorite Modern Christmas Movies

What are your favorite modern Christmas movies?

Probably a toss-up between Bad Santa and Scrooged, but Christmas Vacation is a traditional favourite as well.

Christmas Vacation, Scrooged, and Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale are about the only ones that I’m not sick of after too many viewings. Some, like Arthur Christmas, I haven’t seen yet and have zero interest in Bad Santa.

“Love, Actually” is my favorite

“Scrooged” is a close second though, hehe.

Christmas Vacation, with Bad Santa a close second.

“The Polar Express”, a somewhat surreal, beautiful animated film.

Ooh. “Love, Actually” is a great choice.

I actually really liked that “Miracle on 34th Street” remake from about 15 years ago. It was very well-done.

Is “The Ref” Christmas or Thanksgiving?

Another vote for Love, Actually.

I voted for A Christmas Story, but Nightmare Before Christmas is a close close favorite.

Another vote for Love Actually. After that, Scrooged.

Yet another vote for Love Actually. I do like Elf and A Christmas Story a lot too.

Die Hard, of course.

I voted for the Muppet Christmas Carol, but there’s also “Love Actually” and “While You were Sleeping”

Duh! What wasn’t this on the list?

May Santas wrath fall upon you.

A Brit cartoon called I think, The Snowman.

A young boy on Christmas Eve goes to the North Pole to visit Santa flying on the back of a snowman he’d made earlier.

The usual story, but very well done, but the theme tune "Walking on the Air ", sung by a chorister, is totally haunting, and became a best seller in the U.K. charts, in spite of being totally unusual when compared to the usual stuff.

Its became a Christmas ritual for many people including me, and it never seems to get old.

The Santa Clause must be watched Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. My family is resigned to this by now.
