Best Fruits

Living among many Amish farms, we get some really good fruit around here. Cantaloupes have been amazing. The watermelons are monstrously huge this year, but I found a smaller one that shall be cut open later today. Last week, I got a basket of peaches, and I just got back from getting another basket. The latest batch is pretty firm - they’ll be spending the next 3 days or so in a paper sack. Then I foresee a pie and perhaps a peach cake, as well as a couple of bags for the freezer.

Apples will come later in the year.

Egremont Russet apples, I believe other varieties exist but honestly, why bother?

Strawberries and cherries sun-warmed and fresh picked from the nearby farms here in the garden of England.

If you ever get the chance please try Japanese seedless pione grapes. They are the sweetest fruit I’ve ever had in my life.

Yngwie approves of this message. He eats them really fastly. Like, 64th portions at a time.
