Best. Marriage Proposal. Ever.

I am assuming this is real. The girl looks genuinely shocked.

Make sure you get at least to the 1:20 mark before you quit. It’s better than it looks at first.

Best. Marriage Proposal. Ever.

Wow.

You’d have to be pretty certain that the answer would be yes though…

His proposal is a big Broadway-style song and dance number? Hell, that’s not a warning sign or anything.

Seriously, though, pretty cool if it’s real. I’m guessing the guy and all the dancers are park employees, otherwise I can’t see how he could have set something like this up.

Very cool. Did anyone notice the youtube comments suggesting this might be staged? Seriously? There was a musical number and a choreographed dance routine, and these people feel the need to discuss whether or not it was staged? Even for youtube posters, that’s pretty dim.

That’s Bollywood.

The 1:20 mark is the point at which I realized I should turn it off. Not my thing at all.

It’s very well staged though, I’ll give 'em that, the sound is well done and there’s what, at least 4 different camera angles. This was a big production.

ETA: I agree the girl didn’t know it was coming, she wasn’t part of the stunt.

I’m assuming they meant to say “fake” (i.e., not actually a couple getting engaged) - maybe I’m giving them too much credit, though.

yes you must be right. Which is a shame, because I’d love to imagine that these people live in a world where complete strangers spontaneously burst into song and dance, and everyone around them knows the steps and hits the right notes.

It was Photoshopped.
(And to be honest, if that’s how it started, I’d imagine that living with that guy would eventually become insufferable.)

Guys, I think this was staged. Something about it feels, off.

You mean like this?

And here comes the we’re pretty sure it’s fake judgement. Supposedly - according to an anonymous source - the lovely bride-to-be is dating a man who is not the gentleman in that video. So, apparently it’s just a PR stunt? :frowning:

It can take some guys quite a while to grow a beard of their own.

Yep.

Can you tell by the pixels?

Amazing video. Even if she’d said no, it still would have been an amazing memory.

Or that time in the library?

You just made my day. Thank you.

I didn’t like it. Not because it was staged, but because the proposal became all about the proposer. Call me old fashioned, but a marriage proposal should focus on the proposee. Spectacular proposals are narcissistic, and I suspect that people who propose using sky writing, billboards, etc. are attention whores, and that this doesn’t change after marriage.

Yet another example of TMI in public (assuming of course it’s a real proposal).

Agree completely. This is my favorite one of these kinds of proposals.

Why did I feel like I was watching an episode of *Ugly Betty *with Henry proposing to a much hotter Betty? Oh, and Justin obviously did the choreography.
