Well, if it was Dar, then that might be it, because it might be Daughters of the American Republic, but since it isn’t, then no.

The username, however, does have an hypen in it.

Is that another veiled hint, by the way, since DAR is short for “Daughters of the American Revolution”?
Should I be looking for something to do with a “republic” of some sort?

GAR, for anyone who’s interested, was a society called “Grand Army of the Republic”. Evidently it had some SERIOUS political clout at one point.
I got curious about it when I saw GAR star medallions next to a BUNCH of tombstones in various cemeteries around here, and did some investigating. Though it WAS this question by Ethilrist that got me really looking into it, so I have him to thank for the answer to my long-standing question of “I wonder what those mean, anyway.”
