The only place I use mine anymore is when I post in GQ, because it somehow seems to fit that forum better. But for this thread, I’ll make an exception.
Any one which the poster does not put a quote about themselves in the Sig line. Extra demerits for these multi-line self-inflicted pats on the back:
random poster 1: that was somewhat witty, I want to bear your children.
random poster 2: elf6c your intellect would have made Einstein weep in shame over his inferior gift.
random poster 3: Your posts have elevated you to God-like status, may I start a chursh in your honor?
Comes off as needy, IMHO. The again, I use Ralph Wiggam quotes, so what the heck do I know?
Some of my favorites have already been mentioned, especially the one about God in the plane crash. That just tickles me silly.
As stated above, mine is from The Muppet Show - quite a few episodes, actually, during the Veterinarian’s Hospital sketch.
I’ve considered many, many times changing it, but it is easily recognizable and makes a hell of a lot of sense to anyone who’s read more than a few of my posts.
I haven’t posted my sig in quite some time, but love the Muppet Show and Smurf references. Only in a SDMB could someone make a Smurfian or Muppetian reference and get away with it.

I too am partial to mhendo’s God in the Andes sig. As with pretty much everyone else who posted here… I like mine. Maybe I should change my sig line to something I hate, just to be different.

There came a moment once upon a time when I liked mine. Long long time ago. My sig at that point was the self-referential “Use Signature (set in Preferences)”. Yeah, that was my sig. So there was a thread about nicknames, such as Richard becoming Dick and Margaret becoming Peggy and so on, and I explained that it was baby-talk: certain sounds, like “r” and “m”, are hard for babies to make, so they are mapped to “d” or “l”, and “p” or “b”, or left out. Also shortened. Margaret becomes Maggie becomes Peggy. And for this particular post, after a long time of using an unchanged sig, my sig was:
“Use sinny tool (set in Peffy Sess)”
