There has been a ton of music in The Simpsons over the years, some original but mostly parody.
What is the best (your favorite) one?
Poll coming …be patient, there will be quite a few.
Note on poll - I am including in the poll most of the original and parody songs from this list on the Simpsons Wiki. I am excluding a few here and there for obscureness, but you may peruse the list and post them as “other” if you like.
Everything from the Shary Bobbins episode deserves a vote, and “Who Needs the Kwik-E-Mart” is a riot, but if I could only choose one, it would definitely be “We Put the [boinnnggg!] in Springfield.”

No contest, it is ‘See My Vest’ for me.
But I do also really like ‘Baby On Board’ (Homer’s Barbershop Quartet is my favourite episode) and always thought the rushed copyright disclaimer at the end of the Kamp Krusty song was especially funny.
I voted for “Monorail” over “We Do” because the latter was the first thing that sprung to mind when I read the thread title. It’s brilliant, though the Stonecutters tune is right behind it.
“Stonecutter’s Song” followed by “See My Vest.” A lot of people don’t like the Party Posse episode, but I thought the songs were rather catchy, and the episode was decent as well.
The Monorail and the Stonecutters songs are the best on this list, but I agree that the songs from Oh, Streetcar! are the best…ever.
You can always depend on the kindness of strangers
To pluck up your spirits, and shield you from dangers
Now here’s a tip from Blanche you won’t regret
A stranger’s just a friend you haven’t met
You haaaaaaven’t meeeeet…
STREETCAR!
The first thing that came to my mind was See My Vest. The Stonecutters song would be number 2. And just earlier this week I was singing the Street Car song.
I was thinking about voting for the Monorail song but is there a chance the track could bend?
I voted “Monorail”, though I kind of missed the inclusion of the Mediocre Presidents song.
"We are the mediocre presidents!
You won’t find our faces on dollars or on cents!
There’s Taylor, there’s Tyler, there’s Filmore and there’s Hayes
There’s William Henry Harrison, I died in thirty days!
