best songs from a movie?

What songs did u first hear in a movie and adored instantly? I think the first for me was ‘streets of Philadelphia’ still one of ma faves. Another one was ‘Bittersweet symphony’ in cruel intentions i still think its an amazing song and the timing in the flick was perfect.
Any other candidates?

‘Right back where we started from’ by Maxine Nightingale.
It was used as the theme for the Paul Newman film ‘Slapshot’ in 1977.

Great song !

Also there’s that famous tune from ‘Midnight Cowboy’, which is rather catchy but I cant remember what its called.

And of course all the Beegees songs on Saturday Night Fever.

Can’t fight the moonlight by Leann Rimes from the movie “Coyote Ugly”.

I typically don’t pay too much attention to the sound track. I’m aware of it but the songs themselves tend not to make much an impact the scene does. That being said there are 2 songs which leapt out at me in the “Ooh, I gotta get that song!” way.

“Springtime for Hitler” from “The Producers.” It’s just the funniest, most rediculous yet catchy song there is.

“I’m Still here” by Johnny Rzeznik from “Treasure Planet” also really lept out at me. It so perfectly captured the montage it was used in and it really connected me to the characted. One of my favorite songs from this millenium

West Side Story, the entire soundtrack.

Saturday Night Fever, the entire soundtrack.

"It Might Be You" from Tootsie
