Best Tech job web sites

It seems I’m unfortunately back in the market for a job. Since we’re a smart bunch of people here, I thought I would ask for suggestions of the best job board web sites for tech jobs.

Specifically, I’m a semiconductor product engineer (that’s an electrical engineer) looking for jobs in test, design-for-test, or production of chips.

Anyone have advice on the best boards to look for openings on? Of course I’m all over monster.com which has a wide variety of everything, and I’m also looking at dice.com which is more tech oriented. What I’d like to hear are people’s opinions of the most effective sites that are oriented specifically towards technical jobs (as dice.com is).

I’m actually in that field. I’ve never hired anybody from a website. I’d advice you to look for job posts at specific companies. You can also send me an email with your location, and I might have some names for you to contact.

Thanks, Voyager, I’ll drop you an e-mail.

I agree that you can’t rely on only web boards; I’m making a lot of phone calls to people I know (or don’t know!), and chasing down listings from companies I know are in the business.

However, there are plenty of companies that put their listings on the web or look for candidates there. Last time I was looking for a new job, I got a fair amount of hits from monster.com, several of which led to interviews, and one of which got me the job I just had. So I’m not skipping the web (although it is only part of my job search).
