So I have watched all of Lost up to the end of season five. Because American Idol is live and Lost isn’t, I decided to watch Idol and catch up on Lost online. Now my problem is that I can’t find the first half of the season. ABC and Hulu only have the last half, which is useless to me as of yet. I have been teased at one site after another with the first few minutes of an episode, only to be told I need to complete a ‘survey’ to see the rest.
So, Dopers, can you help me find a non-scammy place to see what I’ve missed? Also, in case it isn’t obvious, no spoilers, please.
If you can wait a few months, Season 6 comes out on DVD in August, I believe.
August 24, to be exact.
And I’m in the same boat as the OP. I’ve traditionally been a season behind what’s being broadcast, so it’s become something of a tradition these last several years for me to buy the DVD set when it comes out in December, and then spend the next 3-4 days rabidly tearing through the season. I thought that I was going to have another agonizing wait 'til December again this year, but was pleased as punch when the August release date was announced a week or two ago.
I don’t know if it’s still the case, but in the past, the episodes were still available on ABC.com even though you couldn’t click to them. If you typed the episode title into the search function it would come up. Worth a shot.

You had my hopes up, Cliffy. But it was a no-go. Makes sense though; why give the content out for free when we can all shell out for it in a few months? I’ve already got Seasons 1-3 on DVD, I guess I’ll have to catch up.
Try #2: It appears that the syndication package will include S6 starting as early as this week. So you’re sort of at the mercy of whether any local stations syndicate the program (in D.C. it’s on the CW affiliate). But check your program guide – you might find it.
