Best weather station for Internet reporting?

After my new roof is installed, I want to mount a weather station and have it report conditions thru my Internet site. Opinions and experiences are very welcome.

I’m aware of the Davis Instruments components, but it’s difficult to tell which package is best. I want the device to report to my computer, and thence upload to a web site on a frequent basis. Canned software would be good. The more items detected, the better. A display “console” is of no interest, since the computer reception should handle data collection and display.

I hope to remove a triangular antenna tower from my neighbor’s house, since he no longer uses it, and attach it to one side of my house, then put the detectors on top of that, about 30 ft in the air. Wireless data transmission and solar power would make this easiest, but it’s not mandatory.

If I can find an affordable, weather-proof webcam, it might be neat to mount it on the tower as well, so if you have any ideas about that, please give me the benefit of your experience.
