Best Wishes on Inauguration Day for HE WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED.

What do you wish for *He Who Must Not Be Named * on this day?

[sub]Be sure to use the euphamism I have above in this cuz any threat by specific name will have the Secret Service (and most likely the Mods) climbing up your ass like a bad case of anal warts.[/sub]

I hope he trips on the steps and ends up with his face in the bowl of potato salad that has been left out in the sun all day and from the ensuing food poisoning makes Wm. Henry Harrison lose his place in history.

I wish he would find a grain of humility, just admit that he’s made mistakes, admit what they are, take responsibility for them, and detail a sincere plan to help correct those wrongs. It would be a good first step in healing the divide. Even if the goals were noble, mistakes HAVE been made, and it is the right thing to do to just own up to the consequences of your actions.

I wish he could’ve found it somewhere in his heart to ditch all the balls and bashes, call off all the fancy expensive parties, and huge festivals, have a low-key inauguration, and donate most of the money that was going to be spent on all that pomp and circumstance to help get armor and supplies and phone cards and other provisions for the troops over in Iraq, and the vets that have already come back from the war. It may not have amounted to all that much in the grand scheme of things, but it would have been a tremendous gesture… and gone a long way to change my impression that this administration does not care for anything but its own interests, and projecting an image of its own unwavering infallibility. The soldiers have sacrificed a great deal to go to war for his cause, IMO it would have been right and honourable for him to make a sacrifice (even if mostly symbolic) to show them some real support.

Of course, as usual, I wish too much.

Santa must have brought you head trauma for Christmas if you think that is going to work.

If turnaround is fair play, what does he wish on others?

I LOVE jibjab.com for their honest portrayl of Dubya

Am I wrong in wishing for a bus to hit him?

When did Voldemort win the election?

Voldemort is subtle.

Grow up, kiddies.
Yes, four more years of Bush is a grim prospect, but there is a difference between intelligent dissent and immature whining. Bush’s policies deserve a thorough grilling, but complaining that he won the election is petty. In a democracy, one side wins, the other loses. Democrats have to sell their policies better and stop ceding territory to the Pubs, so that they can win next time. There is no sensible reason that the anti-education, anti-science party of the rich, the ignorant, and the vicious should win the support of the people it screws over as a matter of policy.

Let’s use today as our Inauguration Day, when we dedicate ourselves to the goals of economic opportunity for everyone, not just the rich; freedom for everyone, not just the religious; and security for our nation, using diplomacy and strategy first, resorting to war only at the last.

Let’s hope that President Bush does a better job in his second term.

Amen!

Nope. Voldemort came back from the dead. That is clearly some form of undead, probably a lich. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m hoping breakfast doesn’t agree with him and he defecates and/or vomits during his speech. Then has four years of abdominal cramping and diarrhea. After 1-20-09, I wish him good health and to live long enough to see his presidency fully discredited.

Well, all you’ve got to do is get past its magical defenses and cast Heal. Piece of cake.

That’s really pathetic, about the level of a kindergartner.

I wish him continued success in his position. I sincerely hope that he is able to accomplish some of the things we need, like tax reform and border control.

Well you know, Republicans for Voldemort.

Personally, I voted for Pedro.

I wonder if he can fuck up badly enough to please his voters. If his work isn’t done yet, how many wars must we fight, how much debt do we need to pile up, how many civil liberties do we have to roll back, before the Bush voters feel like America is where they want it to be?

I expect to hear freedom no less then 1,000 times.

You know, if it were anyone else, i’d ask how he could possibly do any worse. Unfortunately, though, i’m not sanguine about the prospects.

I wish him the wisdom to stop rewarding and promoting incompetents, yes-men and liars.

I am not holding my breath, though.

I don’t see any reason to expect anything other than four more years of the same. I’m hopeful, but not optimistic, if you know what I mean.

For him the election was a big 'ol lump of positive reinforcement. If anything he’ll promote more yes-people because of the success it’s brought.
