Better Call Saul season 6

Who will discover the bodies?

The FBI?

I had never heard this name before, so I looked her up. Looks like most of her work is bit roles, 2 episodes in BCS seems in line with her filmography.

So you mean like after the Breaking Bad timeline the bodies are going to get discovered?

I would presume the DEA will discover the bodies after finding the lab in the aftermath of the fire.

Was that Skinny Pete in the opening montage with Kim?

Hmm, that jump seemed a little jarring but then it had to happen at some point. Does make me wonder if they had it planned a little differently but then Bob O had the heart attack and they had to change plans a bit?

I liked the scene with Gus at the bar. He’s clearly not over Max, and i guess he never will be.

I wonder if we will jump back at some point to find out how Saul got the inflatable off the Kettlemans.

I don’t think they changed the episode count at all post-heart attack so I doubt. The point is for it to be jarring. Basically, once Kim breaks up with him, Jimmy is dead and is replaced by Saul. You don’t need to see him buying the big house and redirecting the office.

Maybe you’re right, but I’ve never really understood why people think it’s important and needs to be explained by some subplot. Saul saw it, thought it was cool, and bought one for himself?

Or am I missing some distinguishing feature that identifies it as the specific one they had?

Surely not. I mean, after all this complex character development she suddenly realizes they are bad for each other, leaves Jimmy, quits the bar and disappears, all within 15 minutes of one episode? I mean, it’s not out of line with where her character was headed, but the sheer speed of it would be a GoT-worthy disappointment.

Have we ever seen Kim in the same room as Huell? Did she surreptitiously leave the room before Huell came in at Jimmy’s disbarment hearing? I’m envisioning this:

Vince Gilligan’s Insider Podcast talks about how they felt fortunate that the original inflatable lady liberty from Breaking Bad was still in storage and available for their use, because those are custom made items, and difficult to find.

I would be shocked if Kim doesn’t show up in Gene’s world.

I think that’s a given. But I’ll still be disappointed if her character just jumps forward to that now. I guess they could tease us by leaving her out for an episode or two, and flesh it out with a flash back later.

Really? I thought the break-up, while quick, was not abrupt in a storytelling sense. It as laid out pretty well and seems to tie off pretty neatly. Myself, I don’t really need to see the aftershocks and Kim building her new life, whatever it may be. I mean, I’d probably be fine if they go there. But I don’t feel it is necessary.

I would like at least some brief closure flashing forward to Gene’s life in exile, but like you I expect we’ll get that part.

I’ve been hoping for a while that the final black and white scene is an increasingly paranoid Gene opening his door to find Kim standing there. Ok it’s corny, and I’m not sure either of them deserve it but I want it to happen.

We pretty much know the broad strokes of how Saul to Gene plays out from here. I’m sure there will be a few twists, but I’m actually much more intrigued about what becomes of Kim in the Breaking Bad era. She seems to have ruled out redemption through pro bono advocacy.

I suspect that most of the rest of the series will be in Gene-land. What more do we need to see from Saul/Gus/Mike? It might be of interest to see a little more of Kim and what she does immediately after this last episode but that’s about it. The speculation that Cliff will be suspicious of Howard’s death and investigate has been snuffed out.

Next week’s episode it titled Nippy which is a departure from the A & B pattern of episode titles from the rest of the season so far.

As has been mentioned a lot, Kim is from Nebraska and I hope that that’s not a misdirection.

Does that mean the same think here as it does in the U.K. - cold weather?

Yes, although it could mean something lit a dog biting you. Like many BCS and BB titles, probably a double meaning. Or it means something you’re not thinking of.

This is most likely, I just wondered if the obvious meaning (and probable misdirect) were the same. Or possibly there will be cold weather but some other meaning too.
