There’s been several comic-book battles speculated over lately, so here’s another. Betty and Veronica duke it out for Archie’s affection. My money’s on the blonde.
I dunno, but I wouldn’t mind seeing what the folks in IMHO think about this one.

I have a reunion special where the gang return after X years and although it remains a tad ambiguous it leaves us with Arch leaning towards the oh-so wonderful Betty.
And rightfully so!! The sweet girl should get the guy. Actually maybe she deserves better than a guy who either can’t make his mind up or wants his cake and eat it too.
Betty’s a better fighter; but Veronica could afford to hire Big Ethel to whup Betty’s ass.
I don’t care who wins, as long as bikinis and lots of oil are involved.
Silly! This isn’t a hypothetical question. The Betty v. Veronica battle has been ongoing for over sixty years, with no winner in sight.

In a straight-up fight, I think Betty would take her. The problem here is, I think Veronica would be a real dirty fighter. But my money’s still on Betty.
::Sigh:: Off to IMHO.
Good triumphs over evil: Betty would win. Then again, Veronica would have evil manipulative ways of beating her…
I think this can be solved mathematically by judiciously utilizing Gilligan’s Theorem, whereas:
Maryann > Ginger
and its corollary…
Maryann < Ginger + Mrs. Howell
where
Betty = Maryann and Veronica = Ginger and Mrs. Grundy = Mrs. Howell
which leads to the solution:
Betty > Veronica
Please note that the above solution does not apply if a new variable R for a jealous Reggie is introduced.
Why bring Gilligan’s Island into it? Hey, Archie, Betty, and Veronica seem to resemble the main characters of Dynasty–Blake, Krystle, and Alexis–more, except that on Dynasty, all three are rich. (And considerably older, although the Archie comics have been around, as noted above, for about 60 years)…
Well, Betty is into school athletics, & Ronnie isn’t.
But, Ronnie probably carries Mace, or even a Taser or Stungun. Betty is too sweet & trusting.
He always ends up with a third one in each issue, usually a redhead, so I’m betting one of them snags him. The other two had plenty of chances and missed.
