There’s a game still in signups on Giraffeboards. Pay no attention to the rumors about the licking.
I find it amusing that I manage to get nothing above background level suspicion in a game I’m scum and then get lynched Day 1 when I’m vanilla town. I think my problem is that people just generally get the wrong idea from me due to my neurological condition; I just don’t think in the same way most people do.
Part of it is a basic lack of understanding of the basic arguments used in this game, and I did completely fail to consider that as a Town player I need to not look like scum just as much as a scum player needs to not look like scum. And the nature of the game is that you’re supposed to look like Town, but you can’t seem to be trying too hard or else you must be scum. If that’s how things are, I don’t think I can successfully play this game unless I’m scum.
It’s difficult. I tend to have about a three-day life expectancy as Town myself. I tend to make minor slips or mistakes and it’s assumed that I’m lying. When I’m scum, I make few mistakes because I know for a fact who everyone is! But, it doesn’t help me avoid the noose.
I’ve tried to alter my playstyle and I just can’t do it. Either I lurk too much, or not enough and my big mouth gets me in trouble.

My lurking style (I can’t seem to change it unless I’m really involved) must trigger a lot of people to think I’m a power role. I try to participate, but I’m bad at driving conversation.
At least scum hit a Townie.
Sigh. While I’m used to getting lynched early and often for my terrible Town play style, it’s frustrating when the discussion is anemic and the people voting for you don’t bother to engage. I wish I was scum this game – it would be so easy to just sit back, let Town lynch whoever is foolish enough to try to participate and NK anyone else who gets slightly active. 
My observation is that the game is really played differently there than here, even when it involves the same people. I think aggressive play of any kind is seen as much more suspect.
Does anyone have Town win percentages for the different places?
I have the exact same problem when I play. I just reek of scumminess to people for reasons I don’t entirely understand. Not talking enough isn’t it, either, because when I’ve been less active, I’m no less suspect. I’ve been working on it.
I hope Mahaloth’s investigation at least turns up a scum to kill or I’m gonna be pissed that I didn’t let him die.

Interesting. Tom Scud claims mason with Astral (#384). Normal Phase then votes for Tom (#392). I smell a Scum.

So I’m guessing there is a Panthro. Prediction: Scum team is Pleo, Normal, Hirka. Plus Inner of course.
FWIW, the scum team changed their minds at the last minute on this one. I wasn’t expecting you to die, fubble; in fact I’d already written the flavor text for their original planned target.
It’ll be interesting to see how the next Day goes. Should be pretty pivotal. Both teams seem to be lamenting their imminent demise to some extent.
