Republicans think Dr. Phil and Mike Lindell are smart. Oh, yeah, Trump. They think Trump is smart. Man, woman, camera, tv. Aced it. Totally aced that test. Should have been awarded a degree or something for that one.
I think it’s instructive to try to see the candidates the way many voters see them – which is to say, dumbass voters who cannot see past the extremely superficial. I love Biden, but he does look pale, frail, and weak. Trump sprays himself with artificial tan and bellows like a moose. The dumbass now knows who to vote for.
Assuming your assertion is factual, all that says is that Republicans are not good at assessing intelligence. It doesn’t say anything about actual intelligence, and certainly not about Harris’s.
Personally, I don’t see how Harris could get where she is if she were not very intelligent. But as a lot of us probably know very well, “intelligent” and “popular with John Q. Public” are not really overlapping skill sets.
I agree. And I’m sure that his political advisers are perfectly well aware of this as well. The fact that they haven’t arranged any sort of unscripted event over the last week and are only now letting him do a one-on-one interview with the friendliest interviewer possible suggests they don’t have much faith in Biden’s performance. Which . . . ugh.
It’s not only what Harris has accomplished, it is the fact that she managed to get to and stay in places where she had the opportunities to accomplish those things without having white privilege or male privilege as Mr. Quayle did.
President Joe Biden said Friday at a campaign rally in the key battleground state of Wisconsin that he’s staying in the 2024 presidential race and expressed confidence that he would beat former President Donald Trump, despite concerns about a disastrous debate performance last week.
So did Sarah Palin. All it takes is a candidate making opportunistic, poorly informed choices. But I’ve seen no evidence that Kamala Harris isn’t intelligent. The negative scuttlebutt is that she isn’t very popular.
I don’t know firsthand, obviously, but Quayle has almost as many unintentionally hilarious quotes attributed to him as George W. Bush. I think it’s a stretch to consider all of them “gaffes”. Are these the statements of an intelligent person?
What a waste it is to lose one’s mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is.
If we don’t succeed we run the risk of failure.
It isn’t pollution that’s harming the environment. It’s the impurities in our air and water that are doing it
He was also the object of Lloyd Bentsen’s devastating takedown during their debate, “Senator, you’re no Jack Kennedy”.
