Biden & Harris Inauguration Predictions

It was short, lovely, and moving. I believe it gave people a release valve.

Ooh… Could Biden do this one, but have his voice just outright dripping in sarcasm the whole time?

Now, now… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

The most effective way of wounding trump is to completely ignore him. Biden can do that and stay classy.

OK. No sarcasm. But he’d still address Carter by name.

My nephew is in the New York National Guard and is posted near the Capitol for the inauguration.

Not sure where else to put this (there’s a Inauguration Playlist topic in Cafe Society, but I’m copying this from there):

For something else to watch, on TCM January 20th they’re showing these movies back-to-back:

  • Ode to Billy Joe (1976)
  • Polo Joe (1936)
  • The Fabulous Joe (1947)
  • The Story of G. I. Joe (1945)
  • Joe Smith, American (1942)
  • A Guy Named Joe (1943)
  • Pal Joey (1957), and
  • Mighty Joe Young (1949)

I think that is a nice tribute!

That is so cool!

Should we hope for Trump to boycott his own funeral? Or for all surviving presidents to skip his?

And tomorrow all the “Kamala” movies!

Okay, I could find only two:

The 1979 one hasn’t inspired much posting on its IMDb page, but it’s a legit “Kamala” movie.

ETA: I don’t know if TCM has plans to show either of them. But in fairness, so far as I know, they didn’t have “Mike/Michael” or “Dick/Richard” or indeed a Joe film lineup on any of the relevant Inauguration days past.
