But she’s not saying anything. I’m scoring Biden about 1/10 on content and Palin at -1. Her answer to the question about “What promises will you have to give up on due to the bailout” was pretty revealing. She immediately started with a non-sequitor and rambled for 60 seconds. Not sharp. Not even trying to fake a good answer.

Well, which is it? I don’t think anyone thought she’d be drooling etc. But given her past interviews, the expectations were low. Low played well for the GOP–now she looks much better, but she is shaky off her talking points. She is better on her facts, I’ll give her that. disingenuous as hell, but better.

What the hell was Biden talking about with exporting coal technology and China? Was he saying we should be exporting to China? I’m confused.
I’m sure this is going to be far from a popular opinion here but…she is kicking his ass IMHO. Oh, her facts are just about as distorted as his are, to be sure. But…she is coming off MUCH better than he is as far as poise and basically the VP job…attack job and cheer leader for her candidate. She is SUPPORTING McCain while Biden is ATTACKING McCain. I’m sure this is going to be a distinction lost on some (most?)…but it’s pretty telling.
Of course, full disclosure and all that…I can’t stand Biden so that may be influencing my perceptions here (actually, it IS influencing them). While I’m neutral about McCain and Obama and was able to watch them in a much more detached mood I REALLY don’t like Biden…while I’m fairly neutral about Palin.
Anyway, carry on…just wanted to give my two cents…

I don’t know if I feel like debating too much, but my impression so far is:
Palin: “Like me, I’m down home, darned sure.”
Biden: “I know a lot about what’s going on. Here’s the story.”
(this from a decided Obama/Biden voter. Palin is confident, but she has little to say about many things, and has a very . . . localized view of a lot of issues. I really don’t care about back home in Alaska. I want to know about the whole country.)
