Biden just nailed that whole “I understand what it’s like to be a single dad” thing.
I can’t be objective about Cheney as I think he is the most corrupt VP ever, but that sounds like a solid slam Biden got off.
I was explaining to someone today about how VPs get picked and they are normally compromises but that Cheney was actually in charge of committee to pick Bush’s running mate and he picked himself. The people I was explaining this to were shocked.
Maverick, Maverick, Maverick. I’m glad I am not drinking, I would be throwing up by now.

Palin did not make a complete ass out of herself. So she scores 1 point for rote memory recitation.
Biden did not score any of the several slam dunks that were open, so he loses 2 points.
This still leaves Biden up by about 10,000,000 points.
bottom line: Palin comes across as someone that I would not want to be my mom, and if she was my friend’s mom, we would spend our time hanging out at someone else’s house. Too often I can see the shrew peeking out from behind those glasses.
Biden comes across as someone who I would want for my father or grandfather. He is quiet, knowledgeable, reflective and genial. He would positively affect my life.
