Only by the benefit of instilled low expectations did she not disgrace herself. When did Republicans start settling for “didn’t piss pants” as intellectual criteria? She was arrogant in not answering questions, wrong on her facts and gaffe prone. She is the worst national debater ever. That said, she did a lot better than she did in the Couric interview.
Results on this poll are so consistent it makes me think people were seeing what they wanted to see.

For the record, Palin used “maverick” or “mavericks” 6 times in the debate, and then Bidin launched in with a string of 9 “mavericks” in a row.
I really hope that Biden effectively killed this term off, once and for all.
OK, We’ve let this thread run as color commentary or kibitzing or something all evening. However, everyone has had their shot and any number of remarks that were inappropriate for GD have been allowed to pass rather than interrupt everyone’s “real time” experience. It is time to close this off before it contaminates the rest of the Forum.
Threads on the topic of the debate are still welcome, (although I would strongly suggest that sexual commentary and innuendo and scatological jokes will be far less welcome).
If you need to link to this thread to make a point or to challenge another poster, fine, but this is not the re-writing of LOTR and it is now closed before it becomes a Forum unto itself.
