Biden seems to be a marathon type, not a sprinter. He is coming more alive now. They have to figure a way to have him do this from the start.

It was supposed to be 90 minutes. But I guess they’re going over, because they actually scheduled 120 minutes, just in case they wanted to go over. Their network, their rules.
I think this overall hurts Biden. I’m not sure if he had anything to gain from participating in this debate. All Biden had to do was to project maturity and competence. He went into the mud and his genuine disgust made him look like a humorless scold. Physically he looks a bit older and sounds hoarse and tired.
He made more sense than Trump in terms of actually answering the question instead of just repeating talking points but I don’t think that’s going to resonate with the audience as a whole who, imo, are more susceptible to rhetoric over logic.

Republicans, in general, will have plenty of good Trump and bad Biden to rally around. Won’t need spin. Just ignore the lies. But politicians lying is not new.

I’m watching this on Peacock. For the ‘commercials’, they’re running a slideshow of trivia and headlines. One of the headlines was about a MAGA person getting sentenced today for being at the insurrection, with a picture of him at the insurrection with a MAGA hat on.
I feel someone wasn’t supposed to put that in the rotation.
I’d posit that they’re debating for 3rd party votes.
