Bazinga! A new episode!
Leonard’s idea for a smartphone application causes friction in his friendship with Sheldon.

It looked like Sheldon was actually playing the Theremin.
Of course, I’m not sure I could tell a faux Thereminist from the real thing.
Me neither . . . but I’m thinking that a real theremin musician would have done it a lot better, so I’m assuming Sheldon was actually playing it.
My favorite line of the show: “. . . with a tunnel connecting your front yard to my back yard.”
Looks like Kaley can walk pretty well now, and I couldn’t see a scar on her leg so that was cunningly covered with make-up.
Did anyone else think of “Human Centipede” at that?
No, I think you’re the only one.
I think I don’t get this line; would someone explain?
mmm
Ebay had a listing for a Big Bang Theory Theremin before the episode was over. Damn, the good ones are outside of my toy budget for this month…
This was one of my least favorite episodes ever. Maybe because I just finished my first iPhone app at work and the whole thing opened up too many fresh wounds.
It’s a loose callback to Leonard’s mom’s theory that Howard and Raj have an ersatz homosexual marriage relationship.
I thought it was a pretty boring episode as evidenced by the fact that I can’t remember anything past Sheldon interrupting their brainstorming with his Theremin.
Thanks, I did get that out of it. I thought maybe there was some deeper meaning I was missing.
mmm
Jim Parsons can really sing!
Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen.
Nobody knows my sorrow.
Growing up in an Texan evangelical fundamentalist Christian environment, he would know the old spirituals.
Meh. Needed more Penny. And Bernadette. But there was no way to shoe-horn them into the plot as written.
What would have been funnier is having Sheldon actively working with Penny on her shoe app, as he did with her on-line business. He could have written an app that would actually sell to more than 75 people on the planet. That would have given Shelpy the win, and been a much better 30 minutes of TV.
This was probably my least favorite episode in a long time. They really have to tone back these “Sheldon is incredibly obnoxious” stories. At this point, he’s gone from a loveable-but-annoying character to just being an incredible jerk. It’s getting tedious.
Sheldon and Penny were working together during the end tag, with predictably funny results. I really wish they had made Sheldon work with Penny earlier and have his app trounce “Lenwalapali’s.” That would have been much funnier.
Putting Raj on tech support was the funniest part of the episode. Compared to other BBT episodes I give this one a B-. That still put it way ahead of 99% of the rest of the crap on TV.
decidedly meh. High points were the theremin, and Raj on tech support. For some reason, his “That’s racist” shtick never gets old to me.
Agreed. Other than the theramin scene, Sheldon wasn’t funny this episode, just jerkish.
I was distracted by Kaley Cuoco’s mobility. Every time she walked on screen I got that “Look, she’s walking!” feeling you get watching a toddler take her first steps. heh.
I noticed a very slight limp on her in the first shot that shows her walking, I think. Unless that was my imagination?
