Worse, he knew it was already resolved. He wanted to teach Leonard some kind of lesson (about what, anyway, keeping his commitments?). Leonard will not, needless to say, learn the lesson that he ought to learn.
I don’t think there has been a particular jump-the-shark moment yet for this series, but I foresee one coming soon.
Roddy
I thought the original idea of the sweater, that Sheldon felt a genuine discomfort when certain things were unresolved, was interesting. But then they turned it into a battle between Sheldon’s vindictiveness and Lenny’s stubbornness.
And the line about needing to be taught not to burn down forests was kinda funny, but maybe because I saw it coming.
I was wondering if she really is seeing someone new. This is a woman who can’t tell her hairstylist that she doesn’t want bangs; seems like she’d say whatever she thought would avoid conflict with Raj.
It would have been better if the store had been so small, they only had that one DVD. Its non-return closed the place down and precipitated the owner breaking out in a red rash on his upper torso . . . and eventual suicide.
She also asked for a new waitress. This is a woman who couldn’t send back an inedible dish. She has come a long way in a very short time. I suppose breaking up with Raj must have been a turning point.
I thought Leonard’s suffering was hilarious. Sheldon’s already known as a (usually poor) practical joker. Him waiting seven years was in character.
Especially since Leonard reacted as expected, paternalistically demanding Sheldon lose his mind, and freaking out and nagging and nagging when he didn’t. Why couldn’t Leonard let it go? Why couldn’t he take off the shirt? Because he keeps trying to one-up Sheldon over childish things.
I also enjoyed seeming him shirtless a few times.
I like the contrast between what the women think of Raj–that he’s funny, intelligent, erudite, worthy of being dated, and worthy of being defended if a woman hurts him–and his own self-assessment, which is pathetic, deep loneliness. I think it would be more annoying if everyone thought Raj was a loser, but Bernadette and Howard were giving him good advice at their dinner.
Not everyone is that easily found… I know all of my details (full name, city, state, DOB)… much more than what you would find from just finding the owner of an out of business video store, and I spent about 20 minutes on Google and found absolutely nothing about me or my family.
I did find several obituaries, that I’ve written a few books, and that I’m a somewhat famous geologist. I knew I shouldn’t have partied so much in my younger years… I don’t remember any of that (especially the being dead part.)
Agreed. If someone has a common name it could potentially be very difficult to find them on the internet. Not a problem for me though, I’m the only person on the internet with my name… Weirds me out. On the other hand, I’m pretty sure Leonard is actually a genius, you would think he would have the resources and intellect to figure this out.
Also, I must agree, Raj has been totally pathetic lately. I’m sure the overwhelming stress of being a 30ish year old virgin has a negative effect on his psyche, but come on. I really wanted Lucy to be a fit too… Maybe she still will be.
