Raj is NOT a virgin.
My bad, I’ve lost touch w/ the show a little I guess.
Raj was never a virgin, at least during the run of the show. There was a season or two there where he was getting laid more than all of the other guys combined.
The issue as I see it, is that somewhere along the way, the show’s gone from being something where the crazy situations drove the character development, to being one where the crazy situations are there for their own sake.
I mean, in lots of the episodes in the past they did crazy absurd stuff, but it had a point. The recent episodes have been somewhat crazier, but without a point. I mean, they could have used this Raj business to really feel out what his deal is, but instead, they opted to have him go hot/cold about Penny over and over. We didn’t learn anything about either one of them, or even why Lucy dumped Raj. Same thing with the sweater story line; they could have had that storyline reveal something about Leonard or Sheldon, drive them apart, or bring them closer. Instead, it’s just a setup to watch Leonard be itchy and Sheldon be sadistic.
In past episodes, Sheldon’s seeming sadism would have had a point- maybe a bizarre and inappropriate point, but a point nonetheless. Instead it seemed like Sheldon just wanted to watch Leonard squirm, which is pretty far out of character.

Despite the awfulness of the main DVD/sweater story and the Raj nonsense, I liked the rest of it. Which adds up to maybe 3 minutes? I look forward to the “joke of the week” where Sheldon makes a comment that leads to AFF’s feelings of hopelessness over gettin’ it on with The Coop.

Why didn’t Leonard know the store closed? These kinds of geeks intrinsically know this. And even if he didn’t know it for sure, he would know that most video stores have closed in recent years and checked on it before accepting the deal. Not believable at all.
Oblique comment on the trailer for next week (which for some odd reasons some people here consider spoilers).
I am wondering if it’s a setup to reveal Penny’s “last name”, as promised, without revealing Penny’s last name. Definitely looks like a standard 3rd rate sitcom plot.
Aren’t Bernadette’s parents still together? Could they be the ones “decoupling”? Her Dad has been in the trailers and previews but not the Mom. . .

I agree. She’s 100 times better looking on the show than in those pictures.
Oh yeah, I also think this was a really weak episode.
I think Sheldon missed his calling- he could have been an offensive coordinator with his photographic memory and quick analytical skills.
One of the best episodes of a weak season. Loved Amy’s face after the Sheldon smack, Bernie with the marshmallows, Raj in his element as Martha Stewart. Of course the Penny Skin Factor was quite low and Howard was a bit of a pansy, but good use of Sheldon for a change.

I missed the first minute or so of the 11/14 episode, but then caught it last night on the CBS website. They finally mentioned the dart board. I knew they’d have to, someday.
Good episode. Though I cringed when Rajs ex came back and he had coffee with her. Can’t stand her and i verbally urged him not to meet or cause she was just going to sneak out the window in the womans room again.
Nice to see Leonard for once not wearing a jacket. Now if I could only see Bernadette in something other than a dress and a sweater. Has she ever worn anything different?
One time she was in a Cinderella dress. Plus all the times they show her getting ready to be or in bed with Howard.
What would you rather see her wearing? Be specific.
Anything. Is she so perfectly made up when she runs down to the corner store for a gallon of milk or cleans their place? She must wear jeans or sweats sometime. It’s california. How about a pair of shorts and a tshirt?
