Big Bang Theory...do we have love for this show?

It was on at 8:30pm and I had time to kill before Heroes. It stars a HiTG! actor and David from Roseanne.

I thought it was cute. I will probably watch it again, although there was one quibble…aren’t you either a Star Trek fanatic or a Star Wars fanatic, but not both? So wouldn’t you either play Klingon Boggle (so cool!) or have Luke Skywatcher shampoo, but not both?

And please tell me they will end up with some hot ubergeek blonde who can intelligently discuss chaos theory and quantum mechanics and not some generic bubblehead who works at the Cheesecake Factory.

I’ll probably keep watching it, just for the nerd factor. Not loving the laugh track though…haven’t sitcoms learned to give that up yet?

I mildly enjoyed it despite itself. The show tried really, really hard to be painful and unfunny but I still laughed a couple of times. Mostly at stuff David from Roseanne did or said.

And I really liked playing “Spot the items the crew bought from ThinkGeek.” I counted at least at five.

I watched it. I didn’t mind that the show was making fun of geeks, as long as it was funny, but it didn’t do that.

They seemed proud of their geekiness. I think I’ll keep an eye on it.

I managed to sit through the first ten minutes. It was painfully awfully, especially the canned laughter.

This is another new one that could go either way for me. It had a couple of laughs, though. I have it on DVR – it may hit it’s stride in another couple of episodes. Or it might not. I’ll give it a couple of weeks.

I thought it was hilarious. Reminded me a lot of MANY situations that were very similar when i was living with some geeks/nerds.

I thought it was hilarious, but I watched the pilot downloaded off the internet. Apparently, CBS cut some of the funnier material because it was too racy (having to do with visiting a sperm bank).

It was much extended on the downloadable pilot. There was a whole scene about one of the guys deciding he wanted his sperm back for ethical reasons, jokes about the size of the cup required, etc. And there were other jokes regarding that scene later in the show which were apparently cut.

For example, when the hot chick says, “What do you guys do for fun?”, the tall sidekick blurted out “This morning we masturbated into a cup for money.” Apparently, that never made the network broadcast.

I just caught the pilot on Itunes.

I saw it was free so I grabbed it.

I saw previews for the next ep tonight durring Kid Nation…
I’m a geek, and I was like I am so gonna crack open that pilot ep I d/l ed.
I hope this goes for 5 or more seasons.

At least so the opposite sex will know I’m not THAT much of a geek.

I suppose the uberfanboys/girls choose only one, but the less extreme of us often like both.

I also d/l the pilot from iTunes. I liked it better than I thought I would but after seeing clips of Johnny Galecki naked, full frontal and hot in a play I have a difficult time seeing him as a nerd. I would probably watch if it weren’t across from Prison Break.

I didn’t hate it. The hot chick is hot, but not enough so that I would keep watching. I record How I Met Your Mother before it, so I’ll record this one for a few more weeks. But so far - I won’t miss it if is canceled.
