Well, I’ll take the bullet, since no one has started one yet. This is the season thread for Big Brother 18, summer of 2016.
We are two episodes in right now. There are some interesting Houseguests. There are some annoying Houseguests. There are some horrible Houseguests for whom I’m hoping for quick evictions or some sort of non-fatal injury that will force medical withdrawal from the house.
There are four returning Houseguests from previous seasons: James, Nicole, Mama Da and Frank. There are two siblings of former Houseguests: Paulie, Cody’s brother and Tiffany, Vanessa’s clone…er, sister.
There are TEAMS this season, though Og only knows how long that will last. We’ve had our first non-voted, non-emergency eviction. And we still have the stupid two-key nominations instead of the deliciously nervous and sweaty pulling of the keys around the table.
Summer’s guilty pleasure has arrived! Let us snark and enjoy!
I too am kind of “meh” so far, but it’s only 2 episodes in. I will say two things … I don’t like the “playing as teams” twist and Paul can’t go soon enough. I hope whoever uses the Veto puts his ass in the chair next to Pauly. Watching BB After Dark right now and what some of them are wearing tells me they’ve had some kind of punishment challenge already. And what in hell is the continual problem with ants in the BB kitchen? Again, they are tossing food because it’s swarming with ants. UGH !
I’m fairly lax about house cleanliness (just a little relaxed about it, not complete slob) but I couldn’t live in that house after a week. Especially the latter seasons. Nobody does anything once they get rid of the few OCD people who constantly clean up. It’s disgusting.
Pauly is Cody’s brother and the pawn nominee. Jozea (sp?) is the other nominee and intended target and is Robin to Paul’s Batman (the Hipster McBossyBeard).
Jozea is the one that told Da’vonne that he was the Messiah and gave her the “VET” boot list so that put him in Nicole’s crosshairs.
I just hopped over to hamstertime to check out who won the veto, but looks like I have to tune in Sunday because I don’t even understand the results they posted. And the season so far is way to meh for me to bother reading any of the hamstertime threads.
But just in general, it is possible for Paul to save Jozea if Paul wins veto and pulls Jozea off. Then both are safe.
Ugh, the BB Battle back sucks! That “twist” robbed us of the satisfaction of seeing Jozea’s face when Julie revealed just how clueless he was! He still has no idea how wrong he was about everyone! :smack:
This thread died faster than Jozea’s game… (rim shot!) As a Rutgers grad, I’m enjoying all the free pub my alma mater is getting this season. I think Paulie is showing too strong too early. On the other hand, whether Corey is just gaga over Nicole or playing very smart, he is flying so low he may scrape his belly on the ground. Granted, I don’t watch the live feeds and am at the mercy of the editors. I don’t get the feeling any of the women are competition queens like in previous seasons, so they have their work cut out for them. But if the guys continue to pick each other off they will have opportunities later one.
Cablevision must have added POP to its lineup recently, as now I have it and can watch BBAD. This has gotten me more into this season. Not having any “feeds” the past couple seasons it wasn’t as interesting. Though in fairness, I typically plow through the 3 hours per night in around 45 minutes. Even still.
There are already at least four showmances brewing, though the broadcast has only highlighted two of them so far:
Nicole and Corey
Natalie and James
Zakiyha and Paulie
Bridgette and Frank
I’m also getting a showmance-y vibe from Bronte and Paul (bearded guy) so right now as it stands, 10 of the 13 people in the house right now appear to be in tight pairs. It’s kind of nuts.
