Of all the times I’ve watched George (in season 1 and all this Summer), I don’t think I’ve ever seen him angry, until last night.
I was disappointed to see Will evicted, but it should have happened long ago. It was just too much fun to watch him and Boggie in the DR with their phone calls… Janelle should win against either Erika or Boogie if she makes it to the final 2 - she’s done so well in the competitions she deserves to win. Erika shouldn’t beat either - she was played, bigtime, and no one should give her a win because of that. If it’s Boogie and Erika, he should win, otherwise he should lose.
I’m torn on Ericka because I respect that she was able to get Janelle to keep her, but my god, woman, what’s with the smarmy “I’m so much smarter than you” attitude in her goodbye video to Will? She’s only in the house because Chill Town kept her safe in the first place. She can try to act all high and mighty now but the fact of the matter is that she got very lucky in that her bid to do a tell-all out of desperation to Janelle worked. If she had gotten the veto, I bet that Boogie could have and would have convinced her to kick Janelle out. She got lucky that Janelle beat her and that her fear of defeat drove her to find a better strategy.
Update (I know I said I was done with this show but I couldn’t help myself this morning and went to check the recap sites to see what was going on):
Boogie won the second HOH comp. Erika won the “endurance” comp on tuesday so that means Janelle is out of the running for the final HOH. It’s between Erika and Boogie tonight on the live show. Oh…and the Girl Power alliance appears to be dead. Erika’s all lovey dovey with Boogie again, the smooching and the baby talk are back and Erika is strongly implying that she’s willing to scumbag Janey if she wins the last HOH (E doesn’t believe she can beat J in the jury vote). Since I’m getting this from recaps and not actually watching the feeds, I couldn’t swear that it isn’t more strat play on Erika’s part (trying to protect herself in case Boogie wins HOH) but the recappers are saying that Erika isn’t spilling anything to Janelle and her demeanor has changed in how she talks to her.
It’s weird, they were saying that E went off on a spiel last night about how brilliant CT had been in the game, how impressed she was, how smart Boogie was (why she thinks Boogie was the brains of the operation, I have no idea) and (get this) how much it turned her on and made her want to have B’s babies again. And she was saying that stuff to Janelle, not Boogie, so it wasn’t like she was trying to snow anyone. I think Erika has a weird attraction to being played by a “bad boy.” Go figure.
Why do people like Janelle? She’s basically a whore. She’s a cocktail waitress, but her real profession it seems is finding rich men to fund her lifestyle and take her on trips to Sweden and Dubai. Somehow I doubt she returns the favor with stimulating conversation… although I’m sure some form of stimulation is part of the transaction.
Pretty harsh judgment for someone you actually know nothing—or very little—about.
Spoiler ahead!!!
With Janelle out of the running for the HOH I think Erikas best move would be to slyly throw the competition to Boogie. She has to know that both her and Mike have no chance of beating Janelle in the final. Mike knows this too.
If she throws it to Mike he can look like the bad guy kicking out Janelle and she can still have a chance of getting sequester votes.
If she wins HOH she’s going to have to either 1) Kick out Boogie and lose to Janelle, or 2) Kick out Janelle and lose her vote along with possibly Howie, Marcellus, etc.
Hampshire:
Erika has already told Mike she’s going to do exactly that, i.e. throw him the final HOH comp so she won’t have to break her promise to Janelle. I think it’s really the best move she has on the table. Taking Janelle to F2 with her would be stupid. That would be choosing to lose. By throwing the comp she can scumbag Janelle without losing her vote. I can’t think of a smarter move for her.
God, it’s guaranteed to go to someone I can’t stand AGAIN! Why do I WATCH this freakin’ show?!
I mean, I could have stood Will winning, because the man is a damn magician at this game and he played it very well right up to this last week or so. I can stand Janelle winning because, man…she’s got the moves and she managed to survive up to this point even though most of the house was after her at one point or another. (Was it 4 vetoes she won?)
But Boogie or Erika? The coattail riders? The people who wouldn’t even be at this point if Will hadn’t made it to last week? Goddamn…just wrap me up in tinfoil and call me a fucking baked potato because I’m done…
Isn’t that the whole reason this show exists? To watch the hampsters scurry and mock them from safety.
Grrrr…it’s like watching the King and Queen of Tackystan sitting on their thrones…
What does Big Brother teach us?
That nice guys do finish last.
That there’s no way to win by being honest, loyal, etc.
That promises are to be broken, fellow players are to be used then discarded callously and that two-facedness is the guiding principle.
That the best players are dead meat and that the prize goes to the most mediocre.
It’s just like life!
And I WAS hooked. . . until Janelle was evicted. Now. . . I just don’t care! Just like life.
Here’s a lovely thought to hold you all over until Tuesday…
“We’re finally alone, Boogie! We can have ugly-bunny-sex on every piece of furniture in the house!”
Just as a kind of countdown, let me iterate the Final Two’s which consisted of people neither of which I ever wanted to see win the whole shebang:
Season 4: Jun and Allison
Season 5: Drew and Cowboy
Season 6: Maggie and Ivette
and now Season 7: Erika and Booger
I’m wondering if the producers came up with that new $25,000 “Best Person on the Jury Prize” to placate Janelle (who I’m guessing is gonna’ win it) because she kind of got screwed on that one hand or both hands thing.
I was thinking it was to placate the sequestered house guests. From what I understand, if they leave they don’t get the pay for being on the show. For people like Danielle and George with families, the money seems low to stay away from their people. Will is a doctor so he probably doesn’t care about the pay. Maybe for Howie and a few others it would actually be worth staying for that amount. The $25,000 could have been promised as a carrot to keep everyone guessing and wanting to stay with Howie.
I liked seeing Will go into the sequester house. I thought he might be in for a rough time but they actually looked pretty happy to see him – partially because they were glad he was evicted but I also think partially just because he’s a fun person to be around. He was so self-effacing and good humored about his own booting that I think it took a lot of steam out of whatever grudge they were still nursing. It’s weird but a lot of tem seemed like they were still more resentful of Janelle (the puppet) than they were at Will (the puppeteer).
I am not a ChillTown wannabe, but I don’t see why this show is any worse without Will or Janelle in the final 2/3… you still will get lots of intrigue in the final show with the jury, and what has Janelle really done to “deserve” winning this? Sure, she won a lot of knowledge-based competitions, but sucked when it mattered most: in strategy and in the final 4/3 competitions.
She totally got played by Will and Boogie, and Boogie deserves this way more than her. When it mattered most, Boogie stepped up and won the two most important competitions (or won one against Janelle and got every question correct in the second - Erika may have thrown it).
This is a final episode I want to see, in comparison to previous years…
I’m curious to see if Will campaigns for votes for Boogie in the house (are they allowed to do that?).
I hate seeing Erica and Boogie in the final two but I’m not surprised. I don’t think either of them deserve to win anything.
What was up with Boogie CRYING about being in the house without Will? Eeeew.
