Goddammit! That was the worse possible outcome. WTF was Jordan thinking guessing 24 cans!? Each person had to get 20 cans and there were three people running neck & neck by the end of that competition! My guess was 90 and the right answer was 91!
I thought she guessed 124, though I couldn’t really read the blob on the left.
This show didn’t matter. We knew Jeff was going home since Saturday, and the HoH winner doesn’t matter. Only the veto matters. If Michele or Jordan wins, Kevin goes home. If Kevin or Natalie wins, Michele goes home.
Either way, Natalie and Jordan are guaranteed final 3. I’m guessing Jordan is going to F2:
Kevin won’t take Natalie because of her friends in Jury house. He might take Michele, but since one of them goes home next week that’s not an option. So he’s taking Jordan.
Natalie might not take Jordan, but that would involve Natalie winning the final HoH. Credit to her for winning tonight’s, though, so who knows. She’d probably perceive Kevin as a game-player who made a big move to get Jeff out, which would play well in the jury house. Plus he’s guaranteed to have Lydia’s vote. She might think she has the J/J/M contingent locked up over Kevin, though, which means she could probably beat Kevin handily. I doubt she’d take Michele because Michele would have Jeff, Jordan and Russell’s vote easily, plus based on the Coup d’Etat she’d have to figure Michele would get America’s vote over her.
Michele would definitely take Jordan because as far as she is aware both Kevin and Natalie would have four votes locked up: Jessie, Lydia, Russell, and the evicted half of Kevin/Natalie.
Based on that, my F2 predictions pending Tuesday’s live veto are:
Michele wins veto, Michele and Jordan F2
Kevin wins veto, Kevin and Jordan F2
Natalie wins veto, Kevin and Natalie F2
Jordan wins veto, Michele and Jordan F2
I’m rooting for Jordan to make F2 and get the $50k with Jeff taking America’s choice for $25k. That would definitely count as a win for them, but if Jordan doesn’t make F2 one of them goes home empty-handed. Jeff would be fine with nothing, but Jordan really needs the money.
Everyone’s given up, huh?
Well, I’m hoping Michele takes the whole thing. Natalie almost lost herself the game with her ridiculously planned lies. Kevin has become all kinds of irritating. Jordan could win and I wouldn’t mind.
I love how Kevin/Michele and Jordan/Natalie both think they will lose against the other pair. They’re all (or at least two or three of them) seriously underestimating their jury sway.
As Jeff would say: It’s over. We lost. It hurts.Kevin won PoV, which means Michele goes home, then Kevin and Natalie compete against Jordan in F3. There’s actaully a decent chance Jordan will get taken to F2, but no matter what at least one of the evil duo will make the finals. It’s really disappointing. How is America already voting for the jury prize? Do they award it to whomever from the jury gets the most votes, or could someone like Casey or the eventual winner of the whole show actually win it?
Natalie is really a piece of work. She’s so immature that I would totally believe that she was only 18 if I were in the house. Heck, 15 wouldn’t be a stretch for her, behavior-wise. And she’s not half as smart as she thinks she is. I loved Kevin’s assessment of her in the diary room. Her ill-crafted lies last night were lame and didn’t fool anyone.
And that marriage proposal in the Pandora room? Was that the most unromantic proposal and least emotional response you’ve ever seen, or what?
Yeah, that proposal was nauseating. I’ve never seen a couple so awkward with each other. I might chalk it up to the guy being uncomfortable on tv, but Natalie seemed more awkward and uncomfortable than he did. Just gross, on every level.
Tonight was yet again no surprise with Michele going home. Once Kevin won HoH it was obvious Jeff was going home. At that point I honestly wanted to see Michele and Jordan in the F2 with Michele winning it all, Jordan getting runner up and Jeff getting the jury prize. So don’t think I’m just bashing a player I hate, like I would Natalie or (to a lesser extent) Kevin.
Michele has zero self-awareness in the huge role she played in Russell’s eviction. All through Russell’s HoH, she talked to Jordan and Jeff about how Russell had to go. All through Chima’s HoH, she bashed Russell to J&J. All through Jordan’s HoH, she ramped up the Russell bashing, aggressively saying he had to go either that week or the next available opportunity. Then Jeff won HoH, did as she’d been asking for over a month, and all of a sudden Jeff betrayed her and ultimately led to her eviction tonight? Girl, get a clue. Maybe if you won any of these challenges instead of letting Kevin and Natalie – the most incompetent players all season – run roughshod over you, the final three would be you, Jeff and Jordan. But no. Choke it away and then blame Jeff. Nice.
Jordan looked like she was about to fall off that log before they even rolled credits. I’m not liking her chances tonight, but hopefully Kevin really doesn’t want to take Natalie to the F2. Fingers crossed.
Okay, I’ve been watching extremely sporadically this year (one episode every other week, maybe?) – but what’s your beef with Kevin? Of the three who are left, he’s the one I like. (Natalie’s a bitch, and Jordan’s too stupid to live.)
Kevin’s been more or less complicit in the utter crap that the Lydia/Chima/Natalie(/Kevin) axis has been doing ever since Jessie got booted: messing with people’s things, mostly. Natalie stole Michele’s gloves this past week, for one, and after Jeff used the CDE on Jessie, the Axis did a lot of throwing Jeff’s clothes around and preventing him and Jordan from using the washer and dryer, etc. The whole thing made Jeff VERY sympathetic to the public for about a week. After that… wavers hand not so much, but still…
My hoped-for win at this point was Michele, but that’s out. I personally wouldn’t mind a Kevin or Jordan win, but I’m hoping against hope that Natalie doesn’t even go to Final 2. I’m worried that this season will be Haggie all over again…
I swear that Natalie is the evil love child of Maggie and Ivette.
Part I of the final has been completed:
Jordan was the first to fall, after almost 4 hours, Natalie and Kevin talked about a deal, they bargained, and then finally Natalie fell, Kevin won.
My take on the jury votes for each possible final two:
Kev/Nat: Kevin wins 5-2, For Kev: Jeff/Lydia/Jordan/Michelle/America For Nat: Jesse/Russell
Kev/Jor: Jordan wins 4-3, For Kev: Lydia/Natalie/Jesse For Jor: Jeff,Michelle,Russell,America
Jor/Nat: Nat wins 4-3 For Jor: Jeff/Michelle/America For Nat: Lydia/Jesse/Kevin/Russell
I don’t think Jordan has it in her to get this HoH. That presents two possibilies, one I’m not terribly deadset against and one that will make me throw up in my mouth a little.
I’m running about 50/50 for my preferred winners winning this game through the seasons.
[ul]
[li]I didn’t see S1. [/li][li]S2 I was all for Will. [/li][li]S3 I didn’t mind Lisa winning, because Danielle should have realized that her DRs were going to cause her trouble (the jury concept was already established in S2, and they weren’t sequestering them yet). [/li][li]S4 was X-Factor, and Jun was preferable to Alison (ANYONE would have been preferable to Alison). [/li][li]S5 was DNA, and Drew was much preferable to Cowboy (though I was hoping for a Nakomis win until she was booted). [/li][li]S6 was HAGGIE…god, I hated her! Even Ivette would have been better, because she seemed to realize just how hateful she’d been most of the season by the end.[/li][li]S7 was All-Stars, and freakin’ Boogie.
[/li][li]S8 was the utterly vile F2 of Evel Dick and his princess spawn, with (IIRC) ED winning. [/li][li]S9 was the off-season (winter season during the writer’s strike) and Potatoface (can’t remember his name) winning. [/li][li]S10 was Dan (another good one to me).[/ul] [/li]And then we have this one, which is shaping up to be another S6, with Kevin in the role of Ivette.
If only Natalie would have fallen forthis! (link to news article, SFW)
Read post 276, including spoiler.
He’s been exhibiting vile behavior ever since he won HoH. J&J did their fair share of bashing players in private. Kevin and Natalie have of course been bashing players in private as well, but they both spend an awful lot of time and effort coming up with elaborate plans to fuck with players for virtually no reason. Kevin spent a fair amount of time planning to bang pots and pans every 15 minutes so Michele couldn’t sleep before a competition, ultimately deciding to scrap the plan only when he realized he wouldn’t get any sleep himself.
He really has been taking a lot of joy in fantasizing about making the other HGs miserable. Gameplay is only a secondary consideration; the primary motivation seems to be that he’s just a total dick.
A lot of people seem to dislike Jordan because she’s not smart. I have no problem with her being not smart, or Jeff for that matter. Being smart is not a choice, so disliking someone for their lack of smarts is equivalent to disliking someone for the color of their skin, IMO. How you act and how you treat other people, OTOH, are very much a choice, and totally fair game for (dis)liking someone. Again, IMO.
To quote myself from post 264:
I’m still firmly in the J&J camp. Everyone else in the house is much more of a scumbag than they are, IMO. Natalie & Kevin made up stuff to make Russell and Michele look bad. Russell went around all yesterday coming up with ideas for Kevin and Natalie to make Michele look bad. Natalie, Kevin, Russell and Michele spent all game sucking up to whomever was HoH at the time.
Jeff and Jordan, by contrast, have never fabricated a story about anyone, have never intentionally tried to make somebody look bad, have never sucked up to the HoH, and in general have played an above-board and honest game.
To quote myself from Post #3:
She hasn’t.
Ha, that reminds me of a bias I have in favor of J&J. I grew up just outside of Chicago, about 5 towns away from Jeff. (Plus my first name is Jeff.) All during my childhood my family would take a yearly 2-week beach vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC, and we’d stop for 3 days on the way back to visit my grandparents in Charlotte, NC. Yeah, we drove from Chicago to South Carolina every year with multiple small children in the car. I don’t know how my parents survived.
And c’mon, Jeff is a huge football fan, particularly the pros. I could definitely have a beer with him while we watched my beloved Giants pound the snot out of his hapless Bears. (This preseason notwithstanding.)
Yeah, okay, he does sound like a dick.
Guess I’ll root for Jordan, 'cause you’re right, dumb shouldn’t be a reason to be against someone.
This season is the first time I really watched the show. And I found myself rooting for Jeff. What an extremely likable guy. Jordan is young and none too bright, but she seems like a genuinely sweet person. But I didn’t get too emotionally invested in anything. Except that skank, Natalie. As others have pointed out, what a despicable person. And there is no one in that house who is less deserving of winning. I loved one week when they all commented on her funky hygiene. I hope that reputation sticks with her through life like her stink did in that house. I will say, that there’s one upside to her winning for me: I’ll know never to waste my time on such stupidity again. And every time I see that skank and Kevin doing their little girl dance (sorry, that’s what it is), I want to send a SCUD missile to their room. I hope Jordan wins. If not, then Kevin, which wouldn’t bother me.
Well said. Particularly your first paragraph.
The final 3 has set up perfectly for Jordan fans. Based on tonight’s DR sessions, looks like Natalie would bring Kevin while Kevin will bring Jordan. That means the only way Jordan misses out on final two is if Natalie wins HoH, which is no longer possible. So Jordan has a very high likelihood of winning at least 50k. Yay!
From the sounds of the jury house, Kevin would win over Jordan, and Jordan would win over Natalie. It also sounds like Kevin would bring Jordan and Jordan would bring Natalie. So part 3 will be extremely important to Jordan. Win and she gets 500k, lose and she gets 50k.
If I were anyone in the in the jury house besides Jeff, I’d have to give the top prize to Kevin over Jordan. He flat-out played better than her; no contest.
Jordan and Natalie would be an interesting decision. Sounds like the jury has turned against Natalie thanks to her age lie. Even without that, the objective comparison is favorable to Jordan:
Natalie won one contest (HoH) fair and square on her own merits.
Natalie “won” one contest in the sense that she finished in the top 2. (First HoH of season, hanging on toilet seats when she and Russell were the last two. Contest ended because it was a battle of cliques and they were both athletes.)
Jordan won two contests fair and square on her own merits. First was the question PoV during her HoH reign, the second was tonight’s competition where she demolished Natalie easily.
Jordan “won” one contest in the sense that she finished in the top 2. (Her HoH, when she and Jeff made the final 2 on their own merits, then Jeff tanked it to give the HoH to Jordan.)
By my count that’s 1.5 wins for Natalie and 2.5 for Jordan. By the metric of competitions, Jordan is the clear winner. Especially since her advantage over Natalie was a direct head to head with Natalie, and she killed her. Plus, Jordan never blatantly gave up on anything, while Natalie seemed to intentionally throw a bunch of competitions. (Spinning swing endurance HoH that Russell won and that smores thing they watched tonight in the jury house.) Contests are only half the game, though.
In the social aspect of the game, Natalie lied, made up stories out of thin air to fuck with people, and even went into the house with a blatant lie about her age. Her whole gameplan was to lie, lie, and then lie some more. Within days of entering the house, she attached herself to Jessie and let him carry her. She knew that Jessie had genuine feelings for her and (wisely) played into that despite not having similar feelings for him. Kind of low, but objectively she didn’t really have a choice on that. (Subjectively, she is a vile human being on every level, and this is one of many examples of that.)
Meanwhile, Jordan came into the house as an open book, never lying about her personal life and never making up stories about other houseguests. Within days of entering the house, she attached herself to Jeff and let him carry her. She and Jeff both had genuine feelings for one another.
Clearly both strategies were successful enough to get them both to the final 3. Both aligned with strong players to carry them. Jordan was honest and nice to people while Natalie was a lying bitch. Jordan tried harder and performed better at competitions.
Seems like a no-brainer to me, if I were on the jury. Kevin over Jordan, Jordan over Natalie. But if I were voting for America’s choice, I’d vote for Jordan no matter what because I lurve Jordan.
