What was the other stuff we didn’t see? Just the stuff about Ronnie being a snake?
I don’t know if spoilers are indicated, so I’m going to go ahead and put them up.
First of all, Jessie and Natalie were much more deadset against putting Russell up than the show indicated. In the end, it was Jessie, mostly, who vetoed the idea. Ronnie is so full of hero-worship on Jessie that he’ll do pretty much anything Jessie wants.
Second, until Jessie put his foot down on the Russell thing, Ronnie went back and forth something like EIGHT times, every time he changed his mind he’d go through and tell everyone again that he was, he wasn’t, he was, he wasn’t. Finally, Jordan had enough and basically called Ronnie out, telling him to put her up if he wanted to, but quit lying to her. Ronnie got all butt-hurt and THAT was the major reason he put her up.
SO MUCH went down before this episode was edited, it was amazing just how much was apparently deliberately left out. Grodner annoys me more and more every season.
I’d also like to note that the second most disgusting thing in this episode was that gold bikini Lydia was wearing for the veto comp. Did it look familiar? Possibly like something that someone else had worn earlier this week?
Yeah, I really would have to think twice about wearing anything Ronnie has had on his body, myself…
Thanks for the info Jayjay.
It seems my Showtime preview is still going… I only watched a little last night, but it’s kind of interesting / boring. I’m torn.
After the Evil Dickhead fiasco, I’m not surprised by any manipulation on this show anymore. I won’t be surprised if Jessie is the golden boy this season and the producers do everything they can to help him win. His entry into the house was pretty much assured by the opening challenge.
I wouldn’t be surprised. I had read on the live feed sites (not really a spoiler but I’ll hide it just in case) that
Jessie was telling his alliance how to cheat at those “What did everyone else answer?” competitions and wasn’t reprimanded or called into the diary room about it
Grrrrrr…
Right there with ya. I can’t believe they left out the entire scene of Russel sneaking up and confessing to Ronnie that the whole antagonist thing was made up, and of
Russ sneaking out of Ronnie’s room crawling to avoid being seen by the suspicious and prowling Casey. That scene of him hanging out on the chess couch was pure TV gold!
So…Laura out and Jesse HOH again. And there’s rain tomorrow. Life sucks.
Whoa whoa whoa, wait. So Russell’s whole thing against Ronnie is an act!? I’ve only seen the TV episodes but that’s a huge thing to leave out. Wow.
Holy shit, it costs $39.99 to watch the live feeds!? Damn.
Wow, that is some good editing the TV folks do. I’m shocked. What’s the reasoning? Is Jessie going to put him up as a pawn? Who’s their target? I don’t really see anyone strong enough on the other side to warrant that kind of deception.
What is Jesse thinking (besides “I love Jessie”)? Jordan and Michelle might be the two weakest players in the game. If Casey is the target, why not put him up? When did it happen that every target needs to be back-doored?
Because if you put them up right away, there’s a chance that the person or one of their allies will get the veto and take them off.
Of course the person that’s being targeted might still win the veto anyway. But when someone is on the block they automatically get to play for the veto, whereas someone not up can play only if the HOH or one of the eviction nominees draws their name. At this early stage of the game, with a number of participants still in the house, there’s a decent chance that your name won’t be drawn.
I guess I understand that, but in the good ol’ days, backdooring was used on strong players who’d be surprised. Does anyone rally care if Casey wins POV and comes down? He’s just the next guy they want out (I’m using him as an example.) If he doesn’t go they’ll vote out someone else on that side.
I think Lydia is turning a little bit kooky on Jesse…though that could just be creative editing. Still she scares me with those smoky eyes.
I got a kick out of seeing Casey in that banana suit, especially when they cut away to him smoking.
Jesse is so annoyingly full of himself that it’s starting to make me enjoy him this season… in a kind of bizarro “yes, I’m laughing at him, but no one else seems to realize what a tool he is” kind of way. His posing at the POV each time someone got eliminated was making me cringe and laugh at the same time.
Now don’t gang up on me, but I’m really enjoying Jordan. She’s labeled a Waitress, though something she said gave me the impression she works at McDonalds. She’s just so completely clueless that I find myself laughing every time she opens her mouth. But she’s somehow endearing to me at the same time. Maybe the way she’s always pushing at the sides of her boobs helps too. I don’t think she has a hoot in hell of winning, but I’d be happy if she did.
I’m with you. I picked her early on as somoene to root for because she’s from the next town over from me (I may go cruise the local McDonalds…)
My wife says she makes Kelly Pickler (another local girl) look smart…
I agree about Jordan. I fully expected her to annoy the hell out of me because, frankly, I’ve had Star Wars action figures who were smarter and better educated than her, but she’s really just so CUTE! And it’s not just physical cuteness (which is well down the totem pole for me since I don’t generally respond to that in women), but her whole attitude. She’s spunky! And unlike Lou Grant, I don’t hate spunk (shut up, you!). She’s enjoying herself, danger and fights as much as just being in the house. And she and Jeff together are too adorable for words.
I like Jordan too, and I really didn’t expect I would.
I couldn’t really figure out why Jesse was so scared that Casey would win the Veto. So what if he did? It was mainly Casey who wanted Ronnie put up, meaning that he would *have *to use the Veto on someone in order to do so. Or is there some kind of rule that if you win the POV you can’t be put up yourself?
