I love this show and its host. Anyone else ever watch it?
Aaron McCargo, Jr. was the Season 4 winner of the Next Food Network Star competition on the food network. This guy is full of energy, very natural in front of the camera, sexy as hell, and he makes simple, no-nonsense food that you might really want to eat! He’s got a lot of personality, and if they gave him a better time slot than 9/8 am on Saturday morning, he might develop a following.
I happened to be home this morning (yeah, it’s not Saturday- not sure what he was doing on), and he made movie-watching snacks. I came in at the end and only caught truffle popcorn (butter, chives, truffle salt, and Parmesan cheese mixed with popcorn) and caramel popcorn (chopped peanuts and pecans toasted in butter with caramel sauce, mixed with popcorn and baked in a slow oven until crunchy).
