I just bought Fool Proof for my Kindle.
Really enjoyed the sample chapters! I’d love to read the rest of it - let us know if it’s ever available in a usable format…
But it already is in a usable format: you can download a kindle program for any kind of computer. I have kindle in my laptop, I have kindle in my desktop, I have kindle in my tablet, and while I don’t have kindle in my cellphone (teeny weeny screen, it’s an LG S3-II), I’ve seen people use kindle in cellphones the same model as mine.
It’s free, just grab it from amazon.
Books are much easier to carry around in case I want to read something.

However, to anyone who has not read the book, there is one teeny-tiny section about someone who speaks Catalan - and Nava wasted no time in letting me know I should give this bit of info some additional thought - which I will.
But I had to laugh - where else but on the SDMB would anybody have even heard of the Catalan language, let alone speak it?! Talk about being caught with your pants down…

Easier than carrying a Kindle? The Kindle is 6.5" x 4.5" x 0.34", weighs about 6 ounces and holds 1000 books.
I have looked into having a paperback book for sale as well. However, the price would need to be somewhere between $17-20 just to pretty much break even. That seems to be a fairly hefty price for a paperback and I am not sure even my closest friends are going to be leaping at that!
I would agree, but then again, I only have a Kindle because my brother gave me his (he just bought an iPad), so I fully understand people who might not own one. However, as has been mentioned on this thread, you can download a FREE app that can let you read Kindle books on your laptop or iPad or Android and most other devices. And considering the Kindle book is $2.99 vs a paperback cost of $17-20 - well, I think I know what most people would choose.

DMark, I don’t know if you watched the Superbowl, but you were eerily prescient: (Fool Proof spoilers follow)
One superbowl ad featured a multilingual rendition of America the Beautiful, and predictably, the usual suspects are up in arms about how and American anthem should only be performed in English. I found it startlingly similar to the boys’s version of the Star Spangled Banner, and the reaction it provoked. Life imitating art! Nice job.
Purchased! Finished Chapter One. I like the fast paced writing and humor. The line that broke me:
“OK, listen up. I need you to sign up a boy band.”
Another purchaser checking in. I can hardly wait to start reading.
Wow! No, I did not see that ad (didn’t watch the Super Bowl) but just Googled it, watched and listened, and then read about the hate.
Whodathunk that I would have hit that nail so perfectly on the head!?
I don’t know if I should be proud to have seen this coming, or depressed to know exactly what would happen. At least in Fool Proof, I think I gave a satisfactory resolution to the issue - we’ll see what happens in real life.

But, if you do buy the book, don’t read the preview of Fool’s Gold lest you become like me and want to start nagging DMark to stop messing around on the web and go back to finishing the second book.
Honestly, this book is so out of my normal genre that I was doubtful. I’m so happy that I got the chance to read it. Its a fun book and I’ll be one of the first to order the deadtree edition when its released.

Just bought it on Kindle; looking forward to it.
I finally finished the book I was already reading, and am now about halfway through Fool Proof: yay, DMark!! Really, really well done and very entertaining. So far, anyway. 
I always look forward to reading more, and I have to be careful at night because I’ll stay up longer than I should. I can’t wait to finish it, at which time I expect that I will rave further here and also post a glowing review on Amazon.

That’s how the book took me. I like to read in bed and I was all “OK, its time to shut down, so I’ll just finish this page…oh, wait, I need to finish the paragraph…oh wait, I’ll just finish the chapter.”
Yes, whenever people take me to bed with them, they just don’t want to stop.
I might use that as a blurb for the book.
