How did we get from “not as bad as some people say” to “perfect”? Lots of people in this thread have pointed out that Bill was a lying, cheating horndog. That’s already an acceptance of the fact that he was “far from perfect”, and he certainly isn’t a “hero”. The question is whether he committed sexual assault and/or rape, and there is ample evidence to cast doubt on (but not - and let’s be clear here - refute) those accusations.
Such evidence is not present in the Moore case, despite Moore supporters actively attempting to manufacture some (see the robocall and the Veritas-linked accuser). In fact I’d argue that the attempts to manufacture false counterevidence support the idea that real counterevidence doesn’t exist.
