If only 1% of that photo is correct, there must be aliens.
You do not consider the story of his Dean Martin dancer aliens to be a wee bit suspicious?
To be fair, before we jump to conclusions perhaps we should examine the words of Gandhi and see if they are applicable in this context.
What? You don’t believe me? Why would I make something like that up? Is your mind closed to my experiences?
You’re just like all the others, a closed minded person not willing to see the truths in my statements.
I thought I could trust you.
Doccathode, The Meier material is replete with discussion of evolution. Everything in the universe evolves eg stars, biological life forms, societies, ideas, consciousness, spirit forms, etc. I recommend you investigate some of the information provided by the ET’s in the contact reports. There’s accurate information there about evolution that you won’t find in the main stream media.
The “Meier material” is bullshit fantasy from a delusional kook and neurotic crank. Did I mention that it was bullshit? What, in particular, should we investigate, and why?
That is interesting, but it does not answer the question I asked.
Such as?
Me, too! Uncanny!
DocCathode, The Meier material is full of examples in which scientific information is provided well before it is discovered by the scientific community. But that doesn’t mean the scientists are plagiarizing Billy’s material. Most of these scientists have never heard of Billy Meier.
Such as? Can you give a few examples?
I realize you want me to read the Meier material in its entirety. Well, if you want to get me interested in doing that you can answer my questions.
Could you please name one bit of scientific information he got to before the scientific community?
That’s no ordinary squirrel, mate! That’s…
oh, wait, wrong thread.
Right you are. Did you shudder to the eerie music? That’s a paranormal squirrel from Zeta Reticuli, you bet!
Billy described computers as major communication media c1958
Billy described rings around Jupiter before space probe got there-- he saw them from a beam ship.
Billy described how swiss alp mummy died before it was discovered!
The list goes on and on.
Where were these originally published? Newspapers, magazines, etc. All I find are claims of publication. No copies of the originals.
Meier’s books are copyrighted.
What are the copyright dates? The ones on Amazon are from 1998 and newer and TheyFly.com neglects to include that information.
So what? All books are copyrighted. I’ve written books and all my books are copyrighted. Under current copyright law in the U.S. all of our posts are copyrighted in our names as soon as we post them. Copyright says nothing about anything.
Now, answer the question. Exactly when and where were those claims first put into print? Give the exact citation. If you don’t know how to cite, here’s a page with very simple examples.
Before you argue it, let me remind you that you can cite anything from anywhere at any time with no copyright implications. Citations are different from quotes, but as that sample page shows you can also quote brief passages without copyright implications either and it will help you greatly if you give us the original quotes as well as cites for the publication.
H.G. Wells predicted the internet in 1937. You lose.
He also said they were made by volcanos on Io
I’d call this the shotgun approach.
You don’t seem to grasp the concept of burden of proof here.
If I tell you that there are fairies living at the bottom of my garden, it’s not up to you to prove they don’t exist. You may believe me or not as you choose. If I want widespread recognition of those fairies, though, it’s up to ME to prove that they exist.
You, like Billy Meier, simply want to make a bunch of completely ludicrous claims and then sit back and wait for us to go to the effort to disprove them. Meier’s goal isn’t to prove all of this crap he made up; it’s to sell books and videos. If you buy his book and decide it’s bogus, he doesn’t care. You already gave him money.
What he really needs to make his scam work is a bunch of credulous followers who will believe everything he says because they so badly want to believe. Those followers don’t understand the scientific method, they don’t understand peer review, they don’t understand reproducible results, and they certainly don’t care whether Meier can back his claims.
I don’t believe that you’re here to have a debate. You’re here to proselytize. Your mind is closed, your opinions are set, and you don’t care what evidence may or may not be provided. Arguing with you is a complete and utter waste of time.
