Yesterday, as I was performing my morning grooming, I happened to notice a little black hair growing out of the side of my nose. Not coming out of the nostril, mind you, but out of the side of my nose. It was, I don’t know, about 1/8 of an inch long.
Well, I am getting to that age where those sorts of things start to crop up and so I just grabbed the old tweezers and gave it a pluck.
Now at this point, I bet you are thinking that this is not a TMI thread and that I lured you in to this thread with false advertising. Sadly, this is not the case.
You see, this hair was actually a huge, black 1 to 1.5 inch long hair that had grown from my septum across my nostril and then pushed its way through the small hole that was left over from when I had my nose pierced (about 10+ years ago) to emerge.
On top of this just being gross, it hurt a hell of a lot more than I was expecting and the pain came from a source that was unexpected as well. Blech.
Wow. I can’t decide whether to be grossed out or amazed that the nose hair made such a trip and happened to make it out the former pierce hole. You almost have to admire that nose hair.
Eeew. Believe me, I would rather be bald than to have a head full of these extra thick, black things. It sort of reminded me of the hairs growing off of that dudes back in The Fly (remake).
I had a nose hair “ingrow” itself and push its way through the side. Hurt like a sumbitch for a couple of days, then one day I looked in the mirror and saw a little black hair sticking out of my nose.
Gave it a tug, and this long strand of hair came out. I could feel it unravelling on the other side. I thought it was the coolest thing.
