You know how bad it was? Me neither. There is no video footage showing violence in the square itself. All existing video shows violence in the streets around the square. I do remember when the news feed was cut off.
I really grew up that day.

Wow, it’s like picking a scab. I know I shouldn’t, but I go there anyways. It’s my understanding that folks in China presently don’t even know about it. And I just get all angry again.
I was an idealistic 17 year old with a real Mao hat my uncle had brought back from Xian. The democracy movement was just fucking AWESOME, and then 3000 kids are dead.
