As to the OP, I have to give the “only you can ruin your life” answer as well. You, personally, are responsible for your own happiness and fulfillment. Them’s the breaks. Get drunk, get over it and go on with life. Its sucks that she said no (or whatever she did) but that alone cannot ruin your life.
