Quite simply, V-Com SystemSuite causes both uTorrent and Azureus to crash. uTorrent works fine until I get a couple torrents running, then it can only go for a few minutes before it crashes. I’ve tried disabling all of the “monitors” and other such things that run in the background in SystemSuite, but it didn’t help anything. I haven’t tried downloading any torrents in Azureus because I know I’ll just get pissed off if it crashes, and Azureus warned me when I started it for the first time that it’s also incompatible with SystemSuite. Both programs say that I’ll need to uninstall SystemSuite to get them working properly, but hell, that thing cost money and I don’t want to that money to go to waste just because of my BitTorrent client. Are there any BT clients out there that don’t have this problem? I hate using any other P2P networks, because they’re so much less reliable. Help!
Check out this thread (the posts by Muad’dib seem to be relevent).
All I got from that was what I already knew: Azureus and SystemSuite don’t coexist. Anyone know of a BT client that does coexist with SystemSuite?
It sounds like SystemSuite has a problem with the protocols generally, rather than specific implementations of them - are you compelled to use SystemSuite?
Unfortunately, yes. I’m borrowing the computer for an indeterminate amount of time; I’ve been given the OK to download stuff to my heart’s content as long as I clean up any subsequent virus or spyware infestations, but there is a specific list of programs I’ve been asked not to delete for any reason, and SystemSuite is one of them. I believe the reason is that it mistakenly labels you a pirate if you try to reinstall it and you have to go through a real headache of a process before you get its functionality back. Regardless, I actually am compelled to use it.
