Sahirrnee , that may have been true in the past, but the price of TV’s has dropped to “would-you-like-fries-with-that?” zone.
10 years ago I got my dear departed mother a 42" TV when she moved into the over 55 community. It cost a grand. Today, without trying too hard, I could get 5 bigger sets for under a grand, and the bathroom DOES NOT NEED a TV.
I’m still using the original set, and the only thing it does not do for me is have a USB port for a bias light.
I bought a 42" TV last winter with USB ports for ~$175. I began housekeeping with a 13".
The bias light is a strip of LED’s that plug in behind the screen and lights up the wall behind the set–it reduces eyestrain.
Now if they cold only produce something worth watching…
