It is about that time to upgrade my phone and I am in a serious dilemma. I’ve been doing some research about both of these phones and they seem to be about even in most regards. The things is that both phones have a few minor problems that I can’t really get over.
The 8830 has no camera. Which really shouldn’t be that big of a problem, considering that I don’t even really use the camera on the phone I have now, but it can come in handy. (I’ve read some internet rumor about an upgrade coming along that will add a camera to the model, any truth in that?
The 755p is supposedly the last of the Palms to use that OS. I’m not sure what that means, but other threads were unhappy with that.
As of right now, I’m leaning more towards the 8830. But it’s mostly because it’s real nice looking and it’s apparently a really nice piece of technology. I’ve been told that the Blackberry is more of a office phone and not all that of a personal use phone, which I find easy to believe. This is why the Treo still holds my attention. I don’t really need a phone that can get global coverage or sync up my emails or whatever. Plus, my sisters have Treos and they are in love with them.
Any Dopers have any personal opinions about either phone? Do any Dopers use either phone? Any information and opinions are greatly appreciated.
