Blizz Repair Utility To Fix Lag/Latency?

Hey

Due to a family emergency I haven’t been playing much lately, but I know y’all were trying to help me fix my lag issues, so could we please re-visit this one and let me ask a couple more q’s?

I remember y’all told me to upgrade some hardware as one of the fixes. The video card I am running on my 4GB Windows Vista 64 and 32 bit is called NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT. There aren’t any updates for it online.

One of the other solutions was (IIRC) to delete WTF and CACHE folders from my WoW folder and force Blizz to re-install them. I don’t have WTF or aything that says JUST “CACHE”

So right now I am running the repair utility hoping this might fix my lag issues.

Also tried deleting add-ons and lowering my settings.

I’d like to avoid buying a new video card if I can, but will if I must, so if any of y’all have this card, what did you upgrade to and what’s my best bet price-wise?

Thanks

Could you remind the home audience what your lag issues are? Generally you can’t do much about network latency, which is the general meaning of latency. If you mean a low framerate, try setting shadows to a minimum.

Hey Palooka

My lags are jerky running and starts and stops. Used to be in crowded cities (SW and Dal), but now it’s while flying as well.

Thanks

Adding also that the long blue bar tracking world entry is also lagging and shadows are set to minimum

That hardware should be more than sufficient for WoW

You say lag - do you mean network lag or hardware lag? As in, is your ping jumping up or is your video stuttering?

Video stutter fits what’s going on, GameHat.

Thanks
