This would actually be a funny shareware game, a sort of “SimNerd” thing; manage a guy through playing a lot of WoW without actually dying of malnutrition, smelling so bad his parents kill him, or losing his job at Blockbuster. It would be set in a parents’ basement, of course; you could buy items like “Wrath of Khan” posters and porn mags.
The Onion can barely produce the satire fast enough for real life.
Is it bad I just downloaded that game? It looks exciting to me.
If it’s bad, I don’t want to be good. That looks like fun. 
Someone ought to make that, but have it automated and turn it into a Progress Quest sequel.
