" Blizzard Warning In Effect ..."

It is blowing and storming like crazy here today.

Schools, daycares, banks, almost everything but essential services is closed, and was closed when I got up this morning in anticipation of a huge storm.

I stayed home from work, me and ted had a doctors appointment at 930, so we went to that. It wasnt to hairy out there when we left, but by the time we got back an hour later, it was wicked!

Road conditions are poor, visibility veries between poor and nil, the winds are gusting up to 100km/hour, or 60 mph, and it is snowing heavily. They are calling for 50 - 70 cm of snow by Sat. afternoon.

I got groceries last night, and went to Blockbuster too. I have lots of good stuff to eat, and rented Clerks and Mallrats again. There is nowhere I need to be before monday…

This is the first time I have enjoyed the prospect of being snowed in.

I am gonna watch tv, play at yahoo games, take a long bath, or 2 or 3, and read, and crossstitch, and relax.

My front window blinds are wide open to watch the snow, and its so heavy, nobody could see in even if they wanted to.

I hear this blew up from the south, so this must be the storm that you all had the other day.

How is the weather where you are?

Hey Kel… saw your weather this morning on Canada AM, front and center. Its only -19 here today, cloudy but no snow forecasted till Sunday. Keep it in the east for a bit okay?

We are, each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another

…and everyone here in Eastern PA was freaking out yesterday over the prospect of 4" of snow. It’s like this every year; the first snowstorm is treated like The End Times, while the last snowstorm, regardless of severity, is shrugged off. Familiarity does breed contempt.

Keep an eye on your pipes, kelli. I suspect trailer water pipes are very succeptable to freezing.

Thanks Guy. They are actually, but not so much when there is snow…it insulates the lower portion of the trailer, acting like an igloo for the pipes.

And the new furnace works like a charm…its toasty in here when I want it to be.

And Sue…I have signs in my yard telling the storm where to find ya!

It’s gonna be sunny and 60 degrees here… just thought I would mention that kells in case you are of a mind to do some california dreaming.

I really try to be good but it just isn’t in my nature!
