I watched the first episode. I’ve known too many guys like the Danny character and just couldn’t stand him enough to make me watch another. All it was missing was John Hurt.
Sort of like hating a comedian because he’s too funny, isn’t it? Yes, he nailed the part. He was supposed to make you hate him, and he succeeded.
I don’t hate Danny’s character at all. I quite liked him; that was the biggest appeal for me watching season 1. I’m watching season 2 now slowly but not really as into it.

As far as the show goes, I’m enjoying it okay. I feel for Danny and his goodie-two-shoes brother. But Kevin is a whiny brat and I’m still trying to figure out Meggy’s deal.
I just read back through the thread and I’m pretty sure there are no spoilers. I wouldn’t have been able to put it all together from just that.
I’ll let you know if my fears are confirmed.
I skipped the most recent posts since I don’t want to risk any season 2 spoilers. My husband didn’t watch the first season, so he and I are going to watch it together, then continue into season 2. Can’t wait!
