The show is a guilty pleasure. I find it amusing even as I sometimes want to smack the characters around a little.
Yes, the first season was pretty bad but the series has turned into a classic!
No, I liked the first season, but thought the second was terrible.
Between Bob’s Burgers and Archer, my husband has accepted and approved of my enormous crush on H. Jon Benjamin.
Tina and Louise are the daughters of my ridiculous and silly heart. The combination of the two of them mirror my stepdaughters, and I think they are both wonderful.
I’m completely baffled by statements like these! If you mixed up all the episodes and showed them in random order I’d have absolutely no sense of which was what season. The show started out great, and has consistently remained so.
Hate to burst your bubble but H. Jon Benjamin doesn’t so much resemble this, or even this, but rather this…
I always thought Archer would make a great live action show, like a modern Get Smart, and everyone who does the voices could play themselves in real life…except for Benjamin.
Put me in the “starting to warm up to it” category.
I originally tagged it as ‘meh’, but gave it another shot (I think b/c of comments on The Dope.) It’s become one of my don’t miss/destination tv shows
I’ve been a fan of his ever since Coach McGuirk.
I was another who was meh about the show but now embrace it weekly. I find Archer funnier, perhaps because HJB is the comic role there and more the straight man here (second banana to the kids, all of whom are a riot)–or perhaps because there are so few characters named Sterling*; either way, the show is still terrific.

Oh, I knew what he looks like. But a (seemingly) good sense of humor automatically adds 100 Cute Points. I do like the guys that make me laugh.
I’m kinda lukewarm on Bob’s Burgers (it’s funny, but a little too formulaic for my current tastes). I was just stopping by to mention that the actor who plays Tina, Dan Mintz, is a pretty darn funny deadpan standup. If you like Bob’s Burgers, I’d highly recommend digging up his Comedy Central Presents act.
It is the best show on Sunday night. It is very funny, and I consider it to be a great replacement for King of the Hill. I think it will grow the way King of the Hill did.
Ya know it’s weird, because I feel exactly the same way about Kristen Schaal. Although she is the very definition of ‘funny looking’ (or even ‘fugly’) and her normal speaking voice sounds like a cartoon mouse, her fearlessness and razor wit makes her sexy! (Not to mention a smokin’ bod too!)
Do you one better: after the rats scurry in, the exterminator van is always a different, punny, company.
Love the puns, even if some are pretty far reaches.
My favorite scene thus far was when they tried to stop the animatronic skark and the fallout after.
Actually, in the first season, I think it was always “Rat’s All, Folks”. The different pest control companies didn’t start until later.
Yeah. Also in the first season the end credits always played over the same animation. With the second season the animation is modified to reference something from the episode.
Guess I’m odd man out…not a fan and I watch half of season 1…coundnt stomach the rest (especially with them making fun of my beloved Martial Art of Capoeira, however a slight kudos is in order I suppose for the fact they even know what it was…)
However an odd thing is Louise is like a kid version of my wife personality wise (minus the bunny ears)
Perhaps this is why I don’t dig it?
