When the dust settles, I’m betting it was a family member who was against cremation, and had he whisked off to a secret but traditional burial. At least, that’s what Occam whispered to me.
Slow clap, sir, slow clap!!
Is there a shortage of bodies at medical schools?
Yeah, I’m inclined to put this in the same category as those stories where some guy has been lost at sea for days, and the article mentions that relatives are holding out hope that he might still be alive. The author doesn’t want to be the asshole who pulls the last straw of hope out of their fingers.
Seriously, they’re most likely going to find that some orderly at the hospital where she died is a necrophile
Not since the days of Burke and Hare, dude.
You biophiliacs really get to me.
Well, his article does say that:
"It would be speculation at this point to comment on a possible motive, he says. But funeral home owner Robert Tips told the San Antonio Express-News that he and authorities “feel very strongly” that the person or persons responsible could have been ideologically opposed to cremation. "
My first thought was, like many here, it was probably stolen for the obvious reason. I get saying that it may have been someone ideologically opposed to cremation, but it just doesn’t make sense. Seriously, if someone is ideologically opposed, it’s probably someone older, and they probably said something about it. So either they said something, then were stupid enough to go steal the body, knowing they’d be a prime suspect, or they didn’t say something, which just makes them an idiot because they’ve desecrated the body of their relative by taking it and letting it just rot when they might have convinced someone with a simple request, so it would also defeat the purpose.
So, yeah, it’s disgusting and unfortunate, but I just can’t see anything other than someone having their way with her corpse, and when they’re done, I imagine they’ll just dump it somewhere. It’s not like they’re going to organize a search for her corpse like they would for a missing person, but I seriously doubt she’ll ever be found. But I do really hope we’re wrong.
Tragedy: A young, beautiful woman, in the prime of her life, dies from a terrible disease.
Comedy: Someone steals her body, in order to pork it.
No, really, I looked it up. Those are the textbook definitions.
Humans are weird.
Of what, a luau?
Its Texas.
For all we know, it was in her will along with being beaten first.
Not yet. Give it time.
There’s a pulled pork joke in here somewhere, but not me, boss. Not me.
They need to get a stiff sentence for this.
You are assuming they have the body in the garage. If it was someone with a religious objection they probably buried the body immediately and had their own little religious service. Lots of open land in Texas.

Funeral home owner Dick Tips told the affiliate that he believes the body may have been stolen by someone who didn’t support Mott’s cremation, which was supposed to take place August 17.

Mr and Mrs Tips have to answer for naming their child Richard but it’s on him for going by Dick.
Sounds like he’s a circumciser by trade.
